Ewok Love Festival Underway!
This year's Star Wars Galaxies Valentine's Day event, the Ewok Love Festival, is now underway. The event, which runs through to March 2nd, will see players complete a number of tasks, one of which is to aid a disillusioned love sage, in order to earn "Ewok Chak Hearts," which can then be used to purchase a number of themed goodies!

Three Million Quests Created This Month
More than three million quests have been created in Star Wars Galaxies this month using the Chronicle Master system, which was released in an update just over a month ago. Even more impressive, in our opinion, is the fact that apparently a single individual is responsible for 6,000 of those quests. Wow!

Hotfix Adds Double Chronicles XP, Tokens
Hotfix 14.5 applied today adds double XP and tokens for the Star Wars Galaxies Chronicles system. In addition to the XP boost, the hotfix also addressed a number of bugs found in the Death Troopers update, and adds a bazaar to the Dathomir quarantine zone.

Game Update 14: Death Troopers
Game Update 14: Death Troopers has gone live, and just in time for the Halloween season! Death Troopers ties in with a Star Wars Galaxies novel by the same named penned by author Joe Schreiber, and introduces an undead-themed storyline to the game. The update also brings other goodies such as the new Flare-S speeder, a number of new collections, and more!

Twelve Servers to Close in October
Due to the Free Character Transfer Service, a number of servers have essentially become ghost towns as much of the game's remaining population has chosen to converge on a small number of servers (example: Starsider), as a result of this twelve servers will be shutdown on October 15th, 2009.
