Due to the Free Character Transfer Service, a number of servers have essentially become ghost towns as much of the game's remaining population has chosen to converge on a small number of servers (example: Starsider).
As a result of this, Star Wars Galaxies Community Manager, Draakull, has announced today that 12 servers will be shutdown on October 15th, 2009, at 5PM PDT, leaving 13 remaining. The creation of new characters on these servers is now disabled.
The servers listed below will be shut down:
To help facilitate any players still remaining on these servers, the Free Character Transfer Service has been extended through to October 15th, 2009. Beginning today, all characters still remaining on the aforementioned servers are eligible for a one time free transfer to any of the remaining 13 servers.
In addition to this announcement, a FAQ has also been made available for more information on the situation.
The announcement and FAQ are both available here.
What do you think about this move by SOE? Personally, having played Star Wars Galaxies in recent months, I think it's a great move. When I played on my home server of Starsider this summer, the place was hopping like it was launch day.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
For those still playing, having more people per server can only help.... for a while.
Why is this even making me sad?
Haha, I like the toon in his skivies, did you guys do this mmorpg.com?
Same here, it's really odd since I haven't played it since pre-CU (other than a pathetic jaunt this summer).
I think both the free transfer service and the consolidation of servers is a good move. This is coming from someone who rarely has something nice to say about $oe.

This is actually an old image that was posted on the SWG forums on launch day, when no one could get on. I've had the image on my hard drive for years and thought it would be appropriate for this story. By the way, I too am saddened by this news, if only for its implications, but I figured injecting a little humor might be helpful! :)
This shouldn't be a sad thing. They have needed to merge servers since I stopped playing over a year ago. They said they couldn't technically do it, but I believe it was pride. SOE is the "Bagdad Bob" of the MMO world.
Increasing player density to help repair the population?
This is definitely a good move. At least SOE is showing interest in wanting to see the game persevere on some level.

Nice save Mike! I ripped their Mothers-Against-Star-Wars-Galaxies website on April's Fools a few years ago...wish i could still find it.
It is a good move, but it is something that really should have happened a long time ago.
Crap, welp. Thanks for the heads up... SOE didn't bother to let me know. Still have four accounts on Kauri; all of which are being charged TODAY.
Time to also change my "active" games roster, looks like.
All I really have to say is that it looks good on SOE the game that was massive and epic and they managed to kill it in one "New Game Experience", even after people closed accounts and they knew this was a big mistake, rather than be the big company and admit they were wrong and change it back they just took the old Smedly line of not being influenced by threats of accounts being closed. Where is your big mouth now Mr. Smedly??? Before you speak take your foot out and I hope this is a lesson to other companies of WHAT NOT TO DO to your games fans.
We do not pay you to give us the middle finger that is out job when you mess up.
Well, this will certainly sever all ties I've had with SOE (and possible LA as of right now I have no intention on purchasing TOR). My 3 accounts on Kauri are about to ride off into the MMO sunset. Was a good run until the NGE. I have to thanks SOE for that time just as as I blame them for taking away my second best MMO gaming experience.
Was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Some mmo's I just dont understand how people are still playing them?
some mmo's just wont die.. and who are these people playing em?
I could make a mmo about a turd that you lvl up to a bigger turd in a toilet and some people would be playing it for years
Same here, it's really odd since I haven't played it since pre-CU (other than a pathetic jaunt this summer).
me 2 lol
I too have all 3 of my characters on Kauri. Sad to see our great world and everything we built up destroyed, but it was destroyed to me 4 years ago anyway.
SOE really has fallen low. Once the KING of MMO's with the biggest line-up in the west, now...
But lets not fool ourselves. We can blame Smedley for the NGE and the CU, but it was the players who killed the game with their min-maxing that led to doc-buff, the true beginning of the end.
For those who have forgotten. SWG had a unique skill system, rather then a health and power/mana bar, you had three bars that represented your Health, Action, Mind (HAM). If any one of them dropped to zero, you fell unconcious (it took a killing blow to actually finish you off, not all NPC's did this).
The unique thing was that each action took a fixed amount from each bar, the amount varying per skill. So, in SWG, you could knock yourself out. This was often seen as silly, but only by those who don't realise that knocking yourself out is highly possible. Go into fast, over exercise yourself, you fall down.
Each player had a certain amount of regeneration, you could decide, within certain limits, how much you regenerated in each area. Since each fighting speciality tended to focus on certain areas more, you would have the regen highest in the area you needed it most.
But there was a downside. Armor would hamper natural regeneration. Wear to heavy an armor set and you wouldn't regenerate at all, effectively stopping you from healing by yourself and since your combat actions depleted your health (and action/mind) you wouldn't be able to fight long at all.
There were food buffs but they were expensive. Well not that expensive but those who focusses solely on combat had no gathering skills, no crafting skills spent a fortune on equipment. They wanted something better. Surely everyone HAD to wear the heaviest armor all the time!
And here it is that Smedley and his devs failed. They probably had a design in mind and that is that heavy armor should only be used rarely (none of the movie heroes us armor at all) and would thne only give you an edge for a very short time. They probably NEVER imagined that EVERYONE wanted to look like Boba Fett (who dies in seconds people) but had probably imagined something different.
But whatever it was, the players refused to experience it and demanded something be done. So, we got the doc buff. Doctors could create a long lasting buff to all regen. The idea itself was not totally invalid, but for some reason they got it totally wrong. It was WAY to powerful and player used it like it was candy. The game grinded to a halt when there was no doctor around to buff and when one was a around, a long cue would form and one by one players would head off, to slaughter lairs of rancor with an AoE macro'ed attack. Cleaning up. Buffs were "expensive" but even the crappiest player could easily regain the costs in minutes and the buffs laster 2 hours and longer. And as players learned to find the best resources (bird meat on my server dropped that had 1000 points, I made an absolute fortune as a scout) they buffs got better. There was NOTHING that could harm you.
Originally meant to allow people to wear full armor, as a scout/Terra Kasi, I fought in plain clothes, just as effective and saved me a fortune.
When the solo-group became the only way to play, that was when the game died. Gone were the days of Rancor hunts with a large group, everyone having to work together or be eaten. Gone were explorations, gone were expedictions to remote planets. There was no challenge left.
Oh, we got death-watch-bunker where enemies had 100% resists on all damage types expect one, that was at 90%. We got a patch to end the solo group but it didn't matter. The game had died, some of us hanged on and tried to make fun experiences in our groups but it is hard to make a terrifying Dathomir experience when some twat wearing no pants in heavy armor just walking into the battle and kicks everything's butt.
The CU and NGE just finished the job. They were introduced to try to create some balance again after the disaster that was the doc-buff.
It was the players who cried for the doc-buff. They got what they wanted but it ruined the game.
The greatest pity is that since SWG nobody else has been willing to try something similar. Everything is now twitch gaming or PvP and while it doesn't seem to appeal (Warhammer's PvP and AoC's twitch failed to keep punters intrested) it seems to be the way to go.
A real pity. The original was far from perfect, but it deserved better then min-maxers.
Stepping backwards is not progress. It should be viewed as stepping backwards. Populations on once thriving servers now having gotten so low as to justify the server's closure? Good idea to unite the remaining subs - sure but is this a good sign? No.
That and I can't imagine the lag-o-delic goodness that will result from a server running NGE on it with an artificial PreCU population on it.
What I could never understand is why could not just re-verse the game to pre NGE state, it would have brought them masses and masses of people back.
thats what happens when old farts in suits make decisions.
IDIOTS.
I dont understand why ppl dont want to make cash tbh. Free advice to SOE : just launch a SWG 2 - based on SWG pre CU engine with up to date graphics, free of bugs and you will have 1mil subscribers from day 1 (I would personally start to play it again with 3-4 accounts and I know more than 100 ppl that would do the same - only from old EU - Chimaera server and Im sure LOTS of players tired of WOW like mmorpgs would give it a try also.
Just think about ALL the things you had in old SWG preCU ... that you cant find in today's mmorpgs :
1. Player cities
2. Player driven economy - everything was build by players - houses, factories, harvesters, clothes, armor, weapons etc.
3. Great community (I still remember the 23123123 pages of replies from SWG preCU forums)
4. The freedom to play like you want the game - a pvper, a roleplayer, a dancer, a crafter - anything you really want to - not some retard "omg lets rush to cap lvl to raid so we can get some items we will change the next patch after 234234234234234 useless raid hours"
5. A great lore - no some retard elves named "Legolalas" and mages named "Gondolf"
I'd like to see ALL servers taken offline, redesigned to pre-CU with updated graphics, all by a whole new dev team, and then brought back up. Post-CU SWG is painfully sad when it really could be great.
It was never the fault of the players. They just made due with what the game had to offer and the majority wanted a balanced fixed game. It isn't as if the players had any control over how the game worked.
SOE never put forth a serious effort to fix the base gameplay they released in 2003. Even when the players were surveyed as to what they wanted as top priority [the combat rebalance was chosen], soe ignored it. They spent the majority of their efforts the first few years creating expansions to generate more revenue and completely redesigning the game from the top down.
The fact that so many players have stuck with such a horribly mismanaged product over 6 years is a testament to their commitment to make this game a success despite everything that soe has screwed up since the games release.
I do not think I can find one comparable example of another mmo that has neglected and ignored more problems for as long a period as soe has with swg. I also cannot think of any other game that the players have worked so hard to make a success.
Saying the players ruined the game is very strange.
Thank you, sfc1971. I agree with you 100%
The combination of servers makes me so sad. I would move my three girls but I haven't played in forever so I refuse to pay money to reactivate the accounts, convert them each to an "iconic profession," move to a server where I probably would never see another SWG friend again, and then also would most likely have to change their names. So instead I'll just have to let them die.
This guarantees that I will never come back, but I leave SWG behind mournfully.
SWG was a unique, challenging, DIFFERENT game. I loved it, and the friends I made in it, like nothing before or since.
Fuck you, SOE. Fuck you Smedley.
I have nothing more eloquent than that. Sorry.
Not surprising at all. With Bioware working on Star Wars: The Old Republic and with the rumor that SOE is working on a Star Wars: The Clone Wars MMO (Supposedly using the Free Realms engine.). Its sad to say, but SWG's days are numbered. It was my first MMO and the only one I played for a long time, I played for almost 5 years. Not even with their new updates, it feel like "been there, done that." to me. My next Star Wars online adventure will be in The Old Republic.
Poor Kettemoor and Wanderhome -- you deserved a better life than the one chosen for you. The latter I commemorate in my wireless SSID.
I'm almost positive that none of the devs currently working on the game have any idea on how to work with that code.
It is good that more people get to play together but it also shows that this game is not growing at all. Beginning of the end I'm afraid once The Old Republic hits the shelves.
Another Day 1 Kauri vet here as well, will be sad to see Kauri go even tho I havent returned since the NGE.
S! Kauri server and thanks for such a great mmo experience.
This is Ripper Daman signing off.
I have the urge to sing "ding dong, the witch is dead", but that would be prematurely....
And I do feel a bit sad, because Wanderhome was my server for quite some time. Where I along with my cousin and best bud hung around RP'ing, jesting and making a tiny reputation as the Galland family...
And on Wanderhome is also where my "real SWG home" is, where on a small island in a lake on Corellia, we had our home complex. I'm going to miss that island.. But it also housed my toomb so I guess it's only poetic justice, SOE's playerbase dying around my toomb hehe.
Adios Kett.
You know what I think is bloody fricken hilarious? The gold farmers are just as retarded as Sony is, because you still find them like mad in th is game, and SoE has OBVIOUSLY given up on doing anything about them.
I wonder if SoE even realizes that games they touch slowly wither and die, kinda like those infected with H1N1.
Even though I don't play, and probably won't play anymore it makes me sad that the server I started on is one that will close. I agree that this is probably a smart move on SOE's part and can only benefit the people who still play.
RIP Tarquinas.
Brakes my heart to see those servers go.
/pours some out
The people on the servers left better welcome the few who have to transfer with open arms. If there's any that cancel they're welcome here anytime. The light is always on. Sorry to hear this, but hopefully the death of those worlds will bring some life to others.
I probably will pony up the $45 to reactivate 3 accounts and rescue my beloved characters from oblivion, even if I never play them again. Nice last-ditch profit-taking on SOE's part. It's worth it to me just to keep the memory alive of a game set soon after the time of the first Star Wars movie (Episode 4) where Jedi Knights were a legend, not a character class. No MMO with Jedi as a player class can succeed, long-term. I know it's all just about money and giving people what they want, even if they don't last. I'm confident that the number of subscriptions in SWTOR will be less the third year than either first 2 after release. You can't balance Jedi, and people won't stick with an imbalanced MMO.
I remember how badly bugged and imbalanced pre-CU/pre-Jedi SWG was too though. It's tragic that SOE could not find a way to fix what was broken instead of making it into something most did not want to play, no matter how many good times we had together. It was one example after another of design decisions that were totally out of balance. ...like the attempt to resurrect Creature Handler. Lack of judgement has been the development order of the day all along for SWG. I hope future MMO developers really learn the lessons of SWG. There were MANY. ...and all based on what I think is the best IP ever and the most immersive game world (in terms of graphics, sound, and people) I've ever played in. Neither of the 2 Star Wars MMOs in development can match the potential of an Episode 4 - 5 world for an MMO. They had that part right from the start but SOE didn't stay on target.
Sad. I met my fiance on Kettemoor.
Even though I haven't played in over 4 years, I'm sad to see it happen. I hope to see what's left be a better world for those who are left.
Kyria Nyriese - Starsider
Tyria Nyriese - Starsider
Ah she will be missed. It does make me sad.
Yet, I don't play the game and have not except that free month, in forever.
Yeah, I still play with people who I met on Kettemoor, some great people.
An other Kauri vet here , a server and a game i miss so much.
See you on emu , i will surely create a toon on whatever server will be available , just to remember the old days :)
12 down, 13 to go..get the coffin ready.
This is sad, But SOE never give up on there games.
As a follow up,
I checked the CTS and you now can only transfer to destination servers. Before todays update, you could still pay to go to a Transfer From server. Its all one way now for only characters you made there before today.
I think they should have a FFA Housing Packup until Oct. 15 for those still there. That would only help clean the server for final shutdown.
I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. Typical SOE jacked up mismanagement to let people transfer off dead servers to still populated servers, then leave the empty, dead servers open for so long, leaving a bad impression on newbs and returning vets alike.
It's sad to see those servers go, but this is the start of the end. I think when SW:TOR launches either SWG is gone or alot of servers will be gone. I still have some of my old pre-cu screenshots and i am talking to some of my old guildies. But this is just causing a chain reaction. First these, over about 4/6months another 2/3 will shut down and then it's matter of time before the pull the plug.
/salute old Euro-Chimaera peeps, and /salute to the <MJSTC> and <LB> members
RIP Valcyn: Vissuri Vis signing off
Honestly, all I can say is serves you EFFin right SOE. Screw the players, you get screwed right back. They have denied the claims that servers are empty for so long, and, op, what's this?
I am definitely sad to see my home Kauri go, especially our player city Arakeen on Tat, with its Admiral Snackbar =(.
Your days are numbered SWG... come SWTOR, your coffin's nailed.
Even though they are merging servers, this game's not going anywhere for at least 3-5 years minimum.
A "What If" of an interview about this...
Interviewer:
We heard that SWG will be shutting down servers, could you explain why the decision was made to do so?
SOE:
Of course and I'm happy you asked that hard question, after all shutting down servers seems to always mean bad things are happening and that is far from the truth. Star Wars Galaxies is doing better than ever. We implemented the Free Character Transfer Service early this year and its success was beyond what we hoped for. It was so successful we extended, not once but twice this year.
...
Interviewer:
It is always good to hear of success, so getting back to the question, why are the servers being shut down?
SOE:
The Free Character Transfer Service was so phenomenally successful …
Interviewer:
Ah, how phenomenally successful was it?
SOE:
The Free Character Transfer Service was so phenomenally successful that players left “the less active servers in an undesirable position. In order to help streamline the current and new user experience, we have made the decision to close the less active servers and focus on the thriving Star Wars Galaxies servers.”
It was a tough call, but we believe we made the right one.
Interviewer:
So the FCTS was the reason for shutting down the 12 servers?
SOE:
Absolutely, and now players will have a more exciting and fun time being in the transferred populated servers due to the most excellent success of the Free Character Transfer System. In fact we are going to be releases some cool and exciting content soon. Its meant to be a secret, but why not tell you, we're going to be adding in Zombies, which this is an awesome time for Zombie content, there are a lot of Zombie movies coming out and...
Interviewer:
Ah Zombies right, we already covered that. Getting back to the servers, historically speaking server merges...
SOE:
Correction, we are not merging servers nor have we done so with Star Wars Galaxies.
Interviewer:
Okay, historically speaking the shutting down of servers has been due to low amounts of paying subscribers, which would be of low player population. Is this the case with SWG? Does SWG actually have low numbers of paying subscribers?
SOE:
The number of subscribers was not part of the consideration for the decision.
Interviewer:
Whatever, so does SWG have a low subscriber base?
SOE:
Sorry but I am not allowed to comment on that. It is Sony Online Entertainment's policy to not disclose subscriber numbers.
Interviewer:
Fine, is SWG growing in subscribers?
SOE:
That is obvious, the remaining servers are growing in size, even as we speak.
Interviewer:
I meant SWG in general terms, not of specific servers.
SOE:
Oh, Star Wars Galaxies in general? Star Wars Galaxies is doing great, better than ever!
Interviewer:
Moving right along ... the shutting down of servers is often seen as a precursor of closing a game. Is SWG going to be closing down anytime soon or during the release of your competitor's title?
SOE:
Could you please rephrase the question? Our targeted demographic of Star Wars Galaxies is unlikely to know what “precursor” means.
Interviewer:
Ugh, is SWG shutting down soon?
SOE:
“No, not at all. We have lots of new content and updates planned for Galaxies and remain committed to making the game an enjoyable and engrossing experience. The server closure is an effort to improve the gameplay experience for all of our players.”
Interviewer:
I know that is from the FAQ, I was hoping for a straight answer from you.
SOE:
No
Interviewer:
No as in “No, SWG will be running for years to come,” or “No, you will always give me a spin?”
SOE:
Yes
Interviewer:
Ok I think we're done here...
SOE:
Since we are coming to the end of this wonderful interview, I would like to chime in that we have some exciting content coming soon to celebrate the beyond our greatest expectations of the Free Character Transfer Service. Not only are there going to be cool Zombies, but also big monsters in space. Rawr!
Interviewer:
I would like to thank you for taking the time with us for our show and may I hope to never do another interview with you.
SOE:
Glad to have been here, looking forward to another interview.
Goodnight, Intrepid.
I am both happy and sad at the same time about this news. I am sad because the "BEST SERVER IN SWG INTREPID" is one of the servers being shut down. Which I played from launch until about 6 months after NGE came out. Might I remind everyone that INTREPID was where the FIRST JEDI came from. I was online the day that happened. I still get chills remembering seeing the message from Lord Vader of a disturbance in the force and to report anyone suspicious!!!! GREAT TIMES!!!!
If you asked me back in 2004 (and some people did in game) if I would ever quit the game I said no. Then the horrendous NGE came along and ruined the game and the whole player population left.
So yes I am sad to see this "ICONIC" server go (hey SOE is always using iconic so why can't I) but I am happy because that means this game is finally in it's sunset phase. SOE has deserved what they've gotten with the low pops, they brought it on themselves by taking the greatest mmo ever made and making it suck.
Screw you SOE, you will never get my money again for an mmo. Glad to see anything you do fail!
RIP INTREPID
Terran Hawkins "Jedi Master" Master Lightsaber/Master Defender
Any time an MMO loses half its server is never a good thing. SOE can spin it any way they want, but the end result is they know their will not be any growth in SWG to fill these server. Thus, why they are being cut. Definitely a slippery slope ahead.
Love the pic. Good call on saving it, most people don't even think of those things.
Sad to hear some galaxies are near their end. I hate to be harsh, but the few people still playing on those extremely under-populated servers will hopefully transfer to the same server. If not, in another six months, we'll see more servers closing.
When populated, it actually is a fun game. Put aside the whole CU and NGE. Its still Star Wars, and who wouldn't like to roleplay a storm trooper or a jedi every now and then. Being able to do it with a bunch of other people is a must, as its no fun in an empty canteena.
I would move your characters before you cancel. Your characters will be deleted, if im not mistaken, if you dont transfer.
Edt: I missread, screw this game, all thats left are memories.
I haven't logged in for at least a year or so. I have "spied" and went back in on a trial account when they were doing that. This was my first MMO and I have not filled the void that NGE gave me. I started playing at around update 13 or 14, and I actually liked the CU. If they would of just left it alone after that I would have been able to get used to it. At least then it was just new colorful icons. And Pistoler actually worked! But they didn't. They had to be greedy and push that player base even younger to get more money.
I checked out the new Old Republic MMO, and I have to say I am not impressed. They are still going to that cartoony "kids" style. I just don't like. Maybe I am jaded by playing the original SWG but I still am looking for that great sandbox MMO.
Well..Ide have to Say...Its like part of my Life is Gone when I think about all the shards being dropped...My first MMO was Ultima Online....Pre-Trammel of corse...Or (Trammel= Care Bear Land) But Anyway...After UO I played SWG for Years and I have alot of fun Memories with alot of close friends on that game...I personally Quit when the Nerfed the whole game by letting people become Jedi without working for it like I did...But It does sadden me And I have to Tip my Hat to SOE...Yes they messed up a good MMO...But they did give me some of the best MMO memories Ive ever had....(Crys)
It's about time that this pathetic remnant of a once fine game wither and die.
Hate to break it to your guys, but the rest of the servers are thriving :p I know some of you want SWG to die so you can jump on its grave, but if you only check the development roadmap, you see SOE isnt going to pull the plug anytime soon. SOE keeps MMO's alive with even less players lol.
So no end to your bitterness any time soon, LOL
This video helps bring back memories. Animation is sped but its good. Best pvp outside of wizard magic.

Last time I played (early summer) it seemed like most people had transfered to Starsider. It still wasn't that crowded. Not like Coronet/Theed/Mining Outpost used to be.
I figure these servers being freed up will go towards the New Clone Wars MMO. In other words, hardware investment by SOE for LA is still about the same.
agree!
12 down, 13 more to go! You'd think SOE would have loaded a pre-CU server by now to see how response was... Then again, the would be a "smart" move.
Heh yeah I wonder too. I felt a deep sadness, tho I never return for sure and left long ago. And even it might be a good thing. But seeing a game decline who once was so great and fun for me... sad. :/
I doubt that what they are aming for is improving player experience, what they are doing is cutting expenses, 12 less servers to maintaing.
I hate to break this to you, but a good portion of the destination servers are having serious low population problems (go check the /FCTS Gorath Thread on the O-boards) . I doubt there are many players left on the servers being closed to make a signifcant change to any servers when they trasnfer. The exception to that maybe Starsider where any increase will just add more to the lag and server crash problems.
I don't want to see anyone's game cancelled, but I do see the situation for what it is, as do most other vets and current SWG players.
''thriving'' , That is a good one. I cancelled the day the nge went live and i went back a few months ago and it was so sad and dead on bria.
Thriving. Heheh. Yeah, that's like those towns out west where everyone is leaving. This causes a majority of the stores to close down and the one or two remaining are perceived as "thriving". Pointing out the side effects does not indicate a solution has been found to the problem. Logically, it makes no sense to even present it as an argument.
1. SWG subs are down.
2. The servers with low subs for an extended amount of time that have also went through the character transfers and the myraid of free trials - are being closed down.
3. Remaining fragments of players are then forced to go to another server.
4. Server populations for certain servers are then unnaturally inflated.
In the end, its like having 4 pennies in 4 cups. You can still move all 4 into one cup but in the end, you have 4 cents and not enough to buy a cup of coffee.
It's surprising that it took so long, to be honest.
Die! DIE! DIIIEEEE!!!
God, I wish that wasn't my reaction, but it was like finding out someone you hated all your life because they were a horrible person was diagnosed with some painful wasting disease.
MY only regret is that I don't get to personally destroy these servers in some physical way. Like a hammer. Or a flamethrower. Fueled by my disappointment with this game's entire sordid history in liquid form.
12 down, only 13 more to go...
Its only lasted this long because of the $OE Station pass.. for 5 more bucks u get all game subs..
In any other cooperation who failed this miserably; management would have been fired long ago.
I know my boss would cut my head off if my great ideas cost us a 90 % client cancellation.
Hate to break it to YOU, but the time of soe keeping low population games alive through the life support system known as station pass may be coming to an end. They've already canceled Matrix Online and may do some more cutting to make room for their upcoming mmo's like The Agency and DC Online. And your idea of thriving and mine must be vastly different because to me a game with one server out of 25 that has a decent pre-cu level population isn't exactly thriving. Unless of course you one of those people who believe that swg has more players than ever, then theres no hope for you.
RIP Intrepid
I feel sad that my old server Kettemoor has gone to a status of being closed. I had many good adventures on this server back pre-CU and although I feel satisfied that they have finally acknoledged the fact that the servers are dying by closing those who at one time were strong servers. I am still sad at the fact that it is going to be gone in less than a month.
Kettemoor, our adventures were great, and our attempts to pacify the rebellion although difficult and at times, completely useless, were still fun. Thank you for all the memories.
SOE...... (edited for obscenities)
And to all my friends who played on kettemoor and other servers, our adventures were great and our journey toward the darkside remains incomplete, but I'll always have my T-21.
Thanks for the memories,
Dalt Novastar, Imperial Army, Kettemoor server.
SaphireDragon - Kauri
.... guess thats it.
You can still play the game at emu i geus. if it's done it's going to be alot more fun.
