Synopsis:

SWG2 should take place inbetween either the Clone Wars and Rise of the Sith or just Rise of the Sith.  My reason being that is alot happned in between and even more happned during the Rise of the Sith.  So many battles.  I also think that for some reason that the Technology seems better during episodes 1,2,3 rather than 4,5,6.  I also think that LA foccused more on the lifestyle during 1,2,3. 

Proffessions:

I think it would be cool if you had the same proffessions as the "Old SWG" (30 proffessions) and add more of course.  Maybe a Cloner? or something like that. 

Jedi:

I think that it is wise to put this in but do something like the "Old SWG" and make it even harder/more quests (but keep it fun) than SWG.  Jedis are like an Uber proffession and I think you have to deserve it not just get it in a ceriol box (spelled that wrong who cares).  And yes there will have to be a sith too.

Battles:

I think it would be cool if there was a little MMOFPS aspect in it.  I love seeing massive battles and they fit perfectly in SWG.  Im thinking maybe like an organized PvP in cites and Urban warfare and stuff and space/ land.  I think that would be sooo cool.

Space:

I really think that space should be bigger like alot bigger then SWG.  I think that there should be Capital ships but as the Jedi make it really really really really hard to get.  I know I know you guys dont wana see 1000 huge ships bumping into each other but I strongly think that you should be able to go in ur capital ship decorate it walk around in it repair it invade with it.  But keep in mind that it must be extrordinary hard to get this.  As for spacestations I think you should go in them as well you can have the option of landing right away or go in there. 

Buildings:

I think that there should be buildings for some proffessions that only allow their proffesion in that way it could keep everything fun and ballanced.  For those who dont have buildings then they have cooler equiptment or something try to even the proffessions out not all Jedi not all BH not all crafters. 

Pod Racing:

Pod Racing would be a sick feature and that could be a proffesion as well.  It would work kind of like the Spaceships in SWG how you customize ur parts and all but racing in places would be SOOO cool and people bumping over to you and smashing you. 

Politics:

Politicians should be able to and only them should go in that Senate place where all those round things are lol.  I think it would be cool if there were real live debates. 

Archives:

What if you could go in the archives and look up cool facts about the History/planets. 

Gambling: 

I think there should be more gambling involved more unique games and stuff. 

Bounty Hunters:

Bh's should hunt real ppl for $$$$$$.

you would need an entirely new graphics engine capable of the draw distances your envisioning. there are new technologies that utilize streaming technology to draw in realtime the terrain, but beyond that, everything has to be done from scratch, even if an engine licenesed could do that type of graphical drawing e.g. houses, flora, trees, structures e.g. IMP/REBEL factions, etc, the developers would most likely hvae to retweak, code, and completely overhaul it.

I too would like the idea of a SWG2, but not by SOE, I was hoping BIOWARE would pick it up, mainly for the face they have a fantastic reputation for RPG games, such as KOTOR being a prime example, JADE EMPIRE, etc they would be a crucial component to a otherwise wishful Vaporware. BUt the biggest issue i think at this poiint is that SWG and its Name is tarnished by SOE's touch. Please correct me if I am wrong, alot of us who have played SWG would be sorely apphrensive to pick it up for the total rapage, promises, and out right lies by SOE and have the audacity to appease us with corny vet rewards that barely hold any actual use in the game if any.

 All in all It would take an extraordinary company, a storyline completly seperate from the movies (ICONIC MY ASS~~ I DONT WANAN BE ICONIC I DONT WANNA BE RANDY HAND ME SOLO, OR PUKE LUKE, OR LESIBIAN LEIA) I wanna makem y own mark, and i think it would take a detailed EU unification/Integration on some level that is years or decades beyond the current set that SWG/SOE has placated, and misused!

and most of all! NO SOE INVOLVMENT!! CAN I GET AN AMEN!

Yes, I always thought that players should be able to use their creds to place real contracts on other players. Excellent idea, that. Such a shame the game never really became what it should have been, and that it likely never will return as SWG2.

Well I 100% agree with you that Bioware should do it.  But, I think there should be room for massive PvP and stuff and sort of be in between 3 and 4 episodes.  Bioware should in the furture take this offer up and if they do it right, well lets just say they will be very wealthy .

NO JEDI'S whatsoever nowhere

(maybe... maybe a very big maybe 3 or 4 jedi's/siths per server WITH permadeath)

put that on your idea list and you have my vote

Cmon be more realistic, I say leave the jedi in but make them to the grind. lvl 90 = 1yr grind = rare to be a jedi = less jedi = makes the game more exciting!

HMM....swg2?....sounds like asomeone is going to get a kick out of messing with the old gamers if u ask me.
if anyone makes it, i think it should be Turbine, or NCSoft. SOE has done a good job at only making things "great" for us all.
Turbine seems to keep coming up with awsome new games and game styles, and NCSoft is just has a strong background and they both have better resaurses in my opinion.

Although your idea sounds awsome:
Space: For that capitol ships: Hard to get as a single person but a guild can buy them for lots of money
Fighters should be able to land inside the cap ships and space stations. (Turn you cap ship into guild hall)
Space Station: Faction owned! massive PvP, heres where one of the MMOFPS comes into play!
Guilds: Each guild should have to choose some type of faction: GE, Republic, Sith (as on KOTOR, not as in the Sith race), Falleen, Hapes, ect.
each guild should have professions (ei. If I made a guild called Unknown Soldiers, and have a mix of crafters, BH, Commandos, Jedi, Officers, medics and so on, and i decided it was a Security Guild, then the guild would have a job of "sercuring" some area. no this is not taking the place of NPCs but it would help set up a base economy and a PvP event cordination. Another MMOFPS part.)

Professions: you should start as Commoner and train exp in what ever feild of profession you wanted, not start out as what ever profession.


eigther way it would end up as a game that would attract many players, thoes who like the big space battles, thoes who like FPS, and thoes that like the RP.

THIS IS MY FIRST POST EVER.

First off no SOE.  They have to go.

Professions - u should have the option of choosing a profession or just being a commoner.

JEDI & SITH - this is a must for a StawWars game.  but it should be difficult to reach JEDI MASTER LEVEL.  should take a few years.

jedi and sith should have to train under a master at an acadamy somewhere, which should keep them out of the way for a while.  if a player reaches jedi master level, they should be able to take an appentice and train them.

BATTLES - battles are the key to all starwars games.  MMOFPS is the way to go.  IM thinking "BATTLE FRONT" but on a mmuch bigger scale.  Battles should be all PVP.  U could make this a seprate game all together.  I use BATTLEFRONT because when my nephew comes over that is the only game he wants to play.  especcially the HOTH BATTLE.  U would have space battles, land battles and have a seperate jedi vs sith battle.

POD RACING - Why stop at pod racing.  this should be a profession. 

Politics - Depending on which era u put the game in should determine how the politics part would go.  go futher with this and be able to be a mayor of a city or ruler of a planet.

Bounty Hunter - great idea to hunt other players.

IM NEW TO COMPUTER GAMING AND MMOS.  BEEN PLAYING CONSOLES SINCE THE ATARI 2600.  IM DEFFENTLY ONE OF THE OLDER GAMERS.  IM PLAYING WOW. TRIED STARWARS GALAXIES.  WANTED TO LIKE IT, BEING A HUGH STARWARS FAN. BUT IM CANCELING.  WHY ARE SO MANY STARWARS GAMES BAD?  I HAVE TRIED A FEW OTHER MMOS, BUT THEY WERE JUST AS BAD.

OK i agree in swg2, that would be AWESOME (hear me anyone who read this, if u make it i promiss i'll buy it) hehe

 

but i disagree in one thing: do not make it clone wars or Revenge of the sith. i wana fly X-wings. besides the CIS army is only Droids, i wouldn't like running around as a droid, another thing that would be cool, would be if Players could post missions.

so a Crafter could hire a Fighter to do thier dirty work.

i don't thinkk all players should have to choose a Faction, but i think it should give them some advantages. and i allso think that the Rebels and Imps should have to compete for the controle of cities and planets. (some allways-neutral/allways-rebel/allways-imp planets aswell). but just picture this: let's say the imps are currently contoling tatoine. the rebels are attacking with their Nebulon-b frigate etc. first they have to get through the imperial blokade, and get down on the planet. but even then the fight continue on the ground...  imps and rebels should allways be attackable by enemy nps and allways pvp when on enemy terretory. neutral player should have the benefit of beiing able to travel to all areas without danger. (this would allso make smugling a real possibility (between rebel and imperial terretory)

when it comes to Jedi/Sith i think they should be forced to stay in hiding. they should be hunted, but  they should be able to sense each other... it should be so dangerous to be a Jedi/Sith that u would only tell those u trusted the most if u were one, and only use your lightsaber if you had to..

when it comes to crafting i think EVRY SINGLE ITEM in the game should be craftable, and instead of getting items as quest rewards u should get blueprints and buildiung schematics. it would allso be cool if there were some, or maby just one totaly ffa planet, this planet should contain very rare and powerfull reasourses, and evryone should be able to attack evryone. u should also be able to build bases and defence structures here. this would force crafters who wants theese rare resourses to get figthers to protect them.

it would also be cool with some adventure planets(like kashyyyk on SWG) were the main thing was pve quests, and adventuring.

podracing seems like GREAT idea. there should be bouth pre made cources, and players should be able to make cources them selves

when it comes to player cities and poltics i agree with u that it would be cool to see a ingame debate. i allso think u should be able to make waal, lay rodes etc in the city, to make it look betther.

i'm sure i got LOADS of other stupid ideas. but this is all i can think of right now.

yeah btw capitol ships should be BUILDABLE but i should demand LOADS of rresourses and people. bouth to build them and to operate them

actually bounty hunters can hunt ppl for money. if there is a bounty on someones head, so i got killed ones by Bh after killing some guys ion resstrus,  lol. and i also like pod racing idea. only if you can bet with many ppl for credits and try to come first, that would be cool!!!

OK here are my ideas.

Space

I think there should be more space staions you can dock to and do some quests not only in space but also inside the space station.

some big ships like victory cruisers or rebel gunships, should fly around so we can destroy them for more exp and there would be a reason to come in space with friends. (not only in one ship)
