What in HELL is an Aluminum Falcon?!?!?! |
Hey all, Just got word from a source about what's going on at LA. There has been a "shake up" at LA. Basiclly, LA was not confident in the leadership of of the Online Gaming section of the company. The nail in the coffin was the NGE, but this was a decision based on the last year of SWG and the decisions made by LA regarding it. With SWG2 in Dev, they felt they had to make a change now, and the WHOLE company knew it was coming, lol. I was told "several" postitions have been posted, but the only position being filled at this point is the SD job. By this point, interviews have or are about to be held. As those of you in the corprate world are familuar with, no announcements will be made until the position has been filled and the person has started (or transition has started). At that point, it's commen knowledge at LA that there will be a house cleaning & ENTIRLEY new leadership for the Online Gaming Division. Last, it's also commenly known that LA has already been discussing if a rollback would help the game. SOE has told LA that ONLY a Rollback would be possible with the current resources they have for the game. Both companies are are surprised about the reaction about the NGE (the suits at least), but the Dev's & Gamer's in the companies are not. LA is pushing to get more SW fans / gamers into lead positions, since that's how KotOR, JK:JA & EaW where developed (not just for SWG). That's it. Expect to see some new faces at E3, and some introductions in the coming weeks (about 4 to 7 weeks from now). |

I'm confused as to what that actually means. Are you saying the only thing they can do is a rollback with their current resources? Haven't they been saying their lack of resources is the reason they can't rollback? Either way, thanks for the info mate, stuff like this makes my day. |

What/who is this source you claim to have gotten this from? God? |

Enough is enough, that has gone around more times then a bad email chain letter. This has been posted countless times already all over the place. It's the same letter slightly modified by some tool that likes to fool the foolish and reposted all over. |

Not to worry, we are still flying *half* a ship. |
I agree enough is enough. If you want to be better than MX13 at dispelling his rumor, please back up your rumor with links showing us this has been ciruclating around for a whiel and is only slight reworded from previous posts. And by a "while" I mean, that it was original posted more than 2 weeks ago. Simply posting this rumor to multiple boards in the last week does not constitute a bad thing. And also, this is the rumor board, so don't read it if you don't want to see this kind of post. *sigh* |

Well I kinda have some proof of this. Wasn't Nancy McIntyre's job director of public relations? If so I noticed in my Manual for Empire at War that it is no longer her. It is an Ann Marie Stein.

Interesting. BTW, I was ranting about someones expecting accurate info on a board. And, in particular, he said it was a re-hash of other boards and I asked him to provide links. Now, as for your post, it would be interesting to know the copyrights and if Nacy [ or Ann Marie] appear in other releases Directory of Public Affairs But no PR I can see and I cannot find the affiliated Lucas ONline company. |

The funny thing is I haven't posted this anywhere else, nor have I seen anything like this anywhere, lol. Thanks Rabia for trying to bring a bit of perspective to my post. This is the rumor board. If I could post my source, it wouldn't be a rumor. In any case, I can completely understand if you don't believe me. That's fine, it's just a rumor until it happens, right? But when it happens... |

NP man :) SOE hasn't said they couldn't rollback, they've just said they don't have a resources to run 2 versions of SWG (Classic & NGE), unless I missed something, which is VERY possible, I'm a bit slow. But the thing I found interesting is that LA has asked about it. |

Apparently, the NGE has really, REALLY stirred things up in Austin. All sorts of fingers are being pointed among SOE employee's as nobody wants to take the blame. Right now EVERYONE is trying to distance themselves from being responsible for making ANY decsions on pushing the NGE live. Every single employee is avoiding any connection to the NGE like the plague. I was told that the Dev's expected SOME account cancelations when the NGE went live, but my insider said they were willing to take those vet losses with the hopes of bringing in new subscribers over the holiday sales season. Also, the devs were counting on most of the threats by vets to quit to not actually go thru with cancelling. They have admi | |
