Morning 'Guys'.

I have spoken to a few people and they said that a SWG-2 is coming out, but cannot find anything to do with it... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Couldn't make you a clicky but here is the article that confirms (?) there will be a SWG in the next 2-3 years. The info is about half way through the article. You should read it all, though, it has some good stuff.

 As long As SOE is not involved , then and only then will I have interest .

 SOE does not want my business and if you have noticed by the lack of business ethnics, they do not want your business as well.

Star Wars Galaxies 2 would be pretty cool....I agree though, as long as SOE has absolutly nothing to do with it I would be willing to give it a try.

After a time of playing SWG it was obvious that SOE was either completely incompetent or had no regard for thier customers. I'm thinking at this point it may have been a healthy mix of both.

I think your missing some very scary omens here, having to pay for decent items in game? In game advertising? Imagine questing in Hoth only to run into a giant billboard for ebay, or working your duff off to get an item from a quest only to see Joe schmoe suddenly log on with the uber epic lightsaber of death, that pwnz everyone cause he bought it for 20 bucks....

At one point the article mentioned paying to teleport long distances.....do you know how much that would suck? Even if its only a quarter for a port, think about how many times you probably port back forth to town in an mmo in a day....gets pretty expensive.

Personally Id rather pay a monthly than get jacked every time i progress, for more money. As far as SOE taking swg2...lol, with LA's history, I seriously doubt they will take it on solo, like soe, they arent especially in tune to player's desires.

For me to ever consider it, it would have to be:

1) Not published by SOE (or EA)

2) Not designed by LA

3) Not be a dumbed down version of the original like EQ2 was to EQ1 (if that's even possible considering what they have already done to SWG)

I concur! I also think it should not have the same name; scratch out the Galaxies part. I would also like to see the new one be a continuation of episode 6 rather than being scattered about. At the stars wars official website, I read the descriptions of the characters from the movie post-episode 6 and they have so much potential to develop a captivating and thrilling storyline. The jedi class is, however, what the customer wants. This would be a big undertaking because it would require balancing the game so much so that the jedi are not invulnerable or most sought after to other classes at the same making them all unique and appealing to a varity of players.
