I find your lack of faith, disturbing. |
This sounds like it came from his brother's uncle's sister's cousin's former roomate. Only if it would actually happen.

It''s not that I''m afraid to die. It''s just I don''t want to be there when it happens. |
If SOE went back to pre-CU servers for SWG, I would defiantly come back. As flawed as it was back then, it's a helleva lot better than the crap game it is now. I pulled out just after the CU hit and have been keeping tabs since. From what I see things only gotten worse for SWG. The big question is, IF they do a rollback will it be enough? Has SOE burned too many bridges to go back to where they were with SWG? Will a significant number of vet players return? Most important of all, Has SOE really learned it lesson about performing major alterations to a game that was flawed but had a thriving community and economy? Will SOE have learned that it is better to fix the smaller problems (bugs, lags, armor, buffs, etc) than it is to create new, bigger problems? That it's better too add newer content that trying to alter the whole concept of the game? All these questions may be moot if this is simply another rumor. I think it is just a rumor but I hope I'm wrong. If it is a rumor, we can pretty much kiss what is left of SWG goodbye since it seems to be in a tailspin and headed for a major crash. I guess time will tell....

I have heard that SOE is losing the contract for SWG. Now if that was true, whoever may be taking over the game may just restart everything from pre-cu. If thats the case, who gives a rats ass what SOE is doing to the game right now. I would come back instantly if SOE loses SWG.

I am now running for CEO of SOE! |
SOE is full of head strong ,abstinent Folks who stand by their decisions , no matter who likes it or not. I doubt very highly as I laugh at their G4/techtv ad for their forlorn version of was once a game worth fighting for that there will be classic servers for SWG. SOE already pulled the tablecloth and it the setting , the vets went tumbling to the ground in a broken shattered mess. Now it is time for SOE to disappear as far as the Star Wars franchise is concerned and Lucas Arts to "make it so" before a worthy competitor beams down to planet earth and finds that their is really no intelligent life at SOE. |

i have heard a rumor that another company is interested in buying the pre cu code (or whatever) and setting up a few servers. i'm not sure what is going to happen with the nge or if sony is losing the contract but i wouldn't be surprised. i will say that the nge has some potential, however with so many ghost towns and so few players that and the fact that soe simply can't be trusted will prevent the game from drawing more players back.

Hehe well guys, I know for a fact that SOE is going to be inspected sometime in February and it will determine if SOE keeps its license for SWG or not... if it loses its license then another company will take hold of SWG, more than likely fixing all the boo boo's. But also, i know for a fact that SOE has no intentions to make any pre-cu servers (i read it in their FAQ section).. so we all just better hope SOE gets blown up and somebody else takes on SWG and restores it to its rightful game play! only in a few months will we be sure.. |

If Sony says so then you DEFINITELY shouldn't believe it. |
