Has anyone noticed the servers are having alot more problems then in the past? Like if you look at the swg forums thunderheart has all the posts about server difficulties. Given I do not play the game anymore but I do still pop in and read the forums a bit,so someone may have to hand me a clue. Yes I know problems in the past of the game were a constant but this seems to be a little more then just constant, am I wrong? There was speak of a server merge a while back, do you think they plan to follow up with this and maybe thats why the servers keep having problems? Maybe they are testing the servers that are getting combined when these downtimes are happening? /.shrug I dunno, just an observation, even though I quit the game I still find myself very curious about changes LOL, I know Im naughty for it shame on me. Yeah I noticed it as well, but also check the number of changes and what they are changing. They are making major overhauls to the NGE and evidentally crashing the servers whilst they are at it. Personally I think that they are insane as this happens every time they patch. Its like they write the code but never test it. The only thing I can think is that the database of characters, houses, ships, and other items are not in a separate database but somehow worked in to the game code on each server. Which would explain a lot of the problems that they have. |
