You seem to be presuming its the PLAYERS that he has to be faceless too. Its VERY obvious that the players are the LAST line of people SOE is worried about answering too. I really don't think you get it. Your so fixated on what they did to the players and how they lied to the players.

YES they are paying the price for it, I have never argued that. As for the insider tip if he didn't have any business speaking it he shouldn't have shared it. If an NDA was broken then it should not even be here and the person SHOULD be fired.

And I have said before, from a developer standpoint I am sorry but it makes ZERO sense. Its innaccurate in how a development team works and shotty. Beleive it if you want, its grondless and a waste of discussion anymore.

Umm, no and this is a perfect example of a complete misconception of the SWG business arragement between LEC and SOE. Torres is employed by LEC, not SOE.

Being a faceless suit does not mean your going to acept blame for an entire different company just because the gamers don't know you. They have a business image to uphold to shareholders and other companies and I highly doubt he is just gonna take the hits for SOE as you suggest.

I understand your points, I just don't find them sensible to myself. That's why I can't give that tip any credit at all, I don't see where it's credible in any way.

This thread is in the rumour room Fadeus, the OP doesn't need to prove it. It's status as possible, and in this case certainly plausible but not neccesarily factual is inherent in it's location here. Granted there have been a few threads on the SWG General forum that probably should be in here too but there is no onus for it too be proved here. Posted here it's up for comment and/or debunking/confirming with facts. So far there's been plenty of comment, no factual debunking, and 1 quasi-confirmation that is nowhere near 100%. As such, still just a rumour, still in the right forum.

As for you're not giving the tip any credit at all, your presence in this thread proves the lie of that statement. You and I both know that the source of this has been proved 100% credible with previous rumours. We both know that SOE is close to 100% not credible on rumours it has denied in the past, and most of those it has denied in the past that haven't come true still could (just this week the strategy guide went on sale that they denied the existence of mere weeks ago). Those 2 factors don't make this rumour true, the DO make it credible.

Echowitch and Fadeus are both partly right about Torres. He is employed by LA but we works AT SOE. I've already once debunked the myth of LA being more at fault for the games sorry state than SOE but I'm seeing this misconception hinted at more often again lately so perhaps it's soon time to clear that up once more, but that's another thread...

Umm, if you say so. My presence in this thread doesn't prove anything of what your saying. The source hasn't proved anything either with its content but I am not gonna sit and argue this anymore. Beleive in it all you want, consider it as legit as you want. As I said before I could type up something similar that would be just as "credible" by your standards.

I don't care where Torres sits down at his desk, he is an employee of LEC and represents them, not SOE. There is no half right about it. You can think you cleared up whatever however I don't see anything accurate in your opinion over mine.

I am starting to think the worst part of this whole thing is the fact that all these people love (loved?) a game so much that rumors here and there are making everyone argue so much.  It's actual hate most of the time.  On these boards, and SOE's boards.  It's too bad that SOE/LA doesn't care enough to make a game they made a lot of money off better or at least back to where it was.
