Star Wars Galaxies, R.I.P. NGE was your final death blow.

Well, I state upfront this IS a rumor...

But i heard from a friend of a friend of a friend who supposedly works for some department in some big game comapny.....(well, ok...only a friend of a friend...and then it's her son...)

 

She said "SOE wanted to destroy the game so they could get out of their contract with Lucas Arts".....

But, do me a favor...let's pretend that this is true...WHAT purpose would that serve?  I mean...what possible value could come out of that?

Wouldn't LA just close the game...and not LET soe have it?

haha, i hope this rumor is true:P SoE sucks, and if LA wants more money, should they work with more "gifted" companies;)

How funny is that? People can buy out contracts. It's the issue of whether or not they willing to pay the price.  Not only that but it's a contract.  Contracts expire.  You are not obligated to resign.  And from what I understand the partnership between SOE/LA will head to the table in '06.  That's coming up quick.  It will be interesting to see what happens though after the latest fiasco.

           OOh Now that is not nice . If SOE did NGE to get out of thier contract with LA then it was the best gift they could have given the player customers proving that SOE is a "gifted" Company in a short bus kind of way.
