By your logic, I could argue that combat characters have no use in the game. After all, what do they give to entertainers? We don't need them to supply raw materials and they don't tip anymore because the inspiration feature is not meant to enhance combat toons. Combat characters used to have a purpose, but now their only purpose is to shoot at each other and make the game seem populated. My point is, you can't look at these things only from your own point of view. Entertainers don't exist only by virtue of what they can give you, just as combat characters don't exist purely to serve me. Each playstyle has its own inherent worth. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't thought about it deeply enough. Anyway, even if you don't agree, they'll never get rid of entertainers. Star Wars without the cantina band? Star Wars without Oola? Trust me, it can't happen, or if it does it'll happen at about the same time they remove bounty hunters. |

by my logic i would say that combat classes are not broken because they can still take part in the game - if their task is to PVP as you say then that is still taking part in the game, the future of SWG may be PVP and if it is they can at least take part with their guns and armor - entertainers have no armor or weapons, no combat abilities, so from as far as i am aware they can take part in not much of the game other than standing in a cantina swaying from side to side entertainers as the game was when i left had a CL of 1 and no combat skills, their old talents were going unused and the only thing you could do as an entertainer was an upgraded version of a chat-room (for $15 a month) entertainers used to be able to give inspiration that would increase the exp gained in combat - so their inspiration did enhance combat toons other than going AFK in a cantina or running a macro, how much of the game do ents take part in? how many quests can they complete? what "phat lewt" can they find? if it wasn't for jump to lightspeed what else could they do? (run corvette missions for AV-21 powerplants i guess) maybe if i went deeper into the entertainer class i might be able to see the deep inner workings of the class, but i became a droid engineer and pilot instead; so i guess my words are meaningless to someone that knows all and can read past my logic so OP, play entertainer if you want, but don't be disappointed if you get bored they added re-class NPCs right? pay them a bit and you can change jobs? (not that i'll hear the answer, it would seem i have my head...) |

Entertainers are still taking part in the game - still performing the same function they did at launch. That job is letting players who don't like combat play the game. Clearly that's not enough for you, but it doesn't have to be. And yes, obviously I can see the entertainer profession with more clarity than you. I've played it for three years straight. I've seen what it can do first hand. Clearly you haven't even scratched the surface of the entertainer profession because it doesn't interest you, but that hardly makes you an expert on its worth, now does it? I love how people who haven't the first clue about a subject are all too willing to show their ignorance. |

I will always miss pre-CU but I still enjoy the game. |
Clearly the Entertainer profession is not for all players just like combat professions are not for all players. I have a combat character as well as an entertainer and I have fun with both professions. |

Me! Yuppers, I love entertainer profession. It is way better now then it was before they changed it. If you do not like it. I suggest you do a different profession.
