People are so afraid of the law. Actually given he doesn't get some stupid judge Jester will win, given what I have read of his claim. I don't think he will get anything other then his intitial purchase for the game (plus filing costs) so he'll be out of his legal fees and doubt his medical expenses will be taken seriously, but he will set a precedent for future court cases. You all should be thankful that Jester is willing to fight for your rights. The thing that bothers me is all the things SOE has done to infringe on the law over the years this is a rather minor offense comparatively. As for SOE's ability to keep this case in appellate court I am pretty sure that CA's small claims court is finale. Many States small claims court don't allow an appel as small claims is designed to streamline the justice process.

You're not allowed to be represented by a lawyer in court, that's true. But you can be consulted by a lawyer before the court. Still, I hope this is just a big joke rather than an actual small claims suit.

This POS isnt worth the law. I wouldnt throw a fit over WoW, which I currently play. Pick up and move on, it's a game. Besides, what better way to get back at SWG then move to the game that they are so eagerly competing with (WoW.)? Havent you already gotten them back by moving on to a better game? Trust me, they are struggling. Look at EQ2. Their games will die out soon and you can email them saying "Thanks for banning me, I'm glad I didntl ose anything important when you had to shut down all your servers because of WoW's domination.".

But yeah, get over it. SWG was a POS and your playing WoW now, so whats the problem? Also, the health problem was not brought by SOE banning your account: this was brought by yourself and it was manifested by SOE's ban. Had you not been so obsessed with SWG, the ban would have been a brush off your shoulder.

Jestor did you actually read the EULA and the email you recieved. I believe it stated "We may terminate this Agreement and/or suspend your Account immediately and without notice". And yet I still see you taking them to court....You agreed that they could terminate your account for any reason. So why the hell are you taking them to court? Are you trying to get on the news like those people who sue McDonalds and such? I really dont get your reasoning. You signed an agreement, SOE used it, and now your angry? Im stunned.

Also thank you for using my tax dollars to try and make yourself feel better. Im really glad that people like you sometimes end up winning millions of dollars, using my tax dollars, yet I never see one dollar of what they won. Thats great.

It's a small claims suit. At most, he'll end up winning back his $50 for buying the game and maybe subscription costs, though I think he has no chance of winning that case (and I still hope he's just joking about the whole thing).

Still, it remains a silly reason to use the legal system for being banned from a game, which just means losing a few hours of entertainment until finding another way to entertain one's self.
