visit http://www.swgpetition.com and LEGITIMATLY sign it so we can add to the already high count of some 12,000 signatures and submit it to SOE to tell them off and bring back the old system and FIX it not replace it

Agreed bro. SOE can kiss my A@# I am totally hacked off with the way thay treat there player base.

The Dev's have some idea that thay know better than the rest of us.

why in hell is Lucas letting SOE get away with destroying this game.

SWG now plays like EQ2 and Anarchy Online, it may work well for them but for SWG nope

Forum Poll

DO you think the CU is a good Move for SWG

No it BLOWS
Yes it ROCKS
It needs to be more balanced than it is now
Should SOE sack the SWG Dev's Team

"thus passes the glory of the world"

It's sad, because I left Anarchy Online after having played the game since beta to join SWG because I needed a game that was kind to crafters and gave people with a non-combat play focus a meaningful and enjoyable role within the game.

Now I've left SWG because they took that away from me.

I feel as if I've been relegated to the back of the bus and told I don't count.

Hi azhrarn

Yep I played Anarchy Online for 3 yrs before I left. I played right uptill the Alien Invation Release as did my wife...

Camping owe what fun.

lvling in Teams became such a pain in the butt.

The good thing was low lvl mobs didnt agro you all the time making travelling arround quick and easy, not like in SWG where every mob will agro no matter its lvl.

I lend my voice to this cause. They suckered us- took the money and ran.

I mean- there was a horse icon in the new CU - A HORSE! It's like they crumbled up everything unique and cool about SWG and "cut and pasted' The EQ2 engine over it, thus breaking the entire game- FOR A MONTH!

Bait ...and...switch.

I'd like to see the SOE officers in front of an ethics comission, but I'm getting more and more conviced that Sony Corp may have been BEHIND this deception all along. I now support an all out boycott on all of their products. They'll either have to give my money back or appease me with a working game AND some real and meaningful form of compensation (One week of double xp in a broken gameing environment and a stupid plaque just don't cut it.) ::::27::

What did they expect from a group of people who like to play rebels? Silent complacence?

This is a bug and is about to change with Patch 17, now on test center. Grays wont attack you at all, all others at lower levels have reduced aggro range. Exception ... faction enemies will attack you, no matter what your level is.

Have fun

RIP my old friends from SWG.

The CU is what I hope will be a failed attempt by SOE to rake in more cash. They screwed the veteran players figuring that they have the only game in town for MMORPG Star Wars fans.

The primary issue I have with the hatchet job of an "upgrade" is that everything is now level based. It is my belief that SOE only wanted to support one game type, which means we now have a level based clone of Everquest. Its cheaper and easier for them that way, but it makes the experience feel like a game instead of an environment.

But the DEVs had a deadline... They had to release the "new & (cough) improved" version in time to make more money from the teenagers that are jazzed by watching the movie. They needed a new boxed set to fill the store shelves. Away went the special damage types and with it the skill based system, the crafting complexity, and many of the crafted items that had been referred to as "uber."

Not to mention the functionality of the Entertainers. All that is left for them is a glorified chat room with pretty avatars.

I would love for Lucasarts to yank the license from them or at least exert enough pressure so that SOE is forced to give us back the world we had, even if the community is gone forever.

And I hope whoever at SOE pushed this CU through chokes on his/her greed.

I support telling everyone in the MEDIA what SOE has done.

The game always had levels they were simply semi-hidden before.

SOE = POS

I hated the CU, and sold my three accounts on ebay as they were paid until 01/06. I think the thing that was the deal breaker for me was the "Toolbar Wars". I'd hit a key, wait for it to cool down, and then hit it again. When they took the combat queue out-- that was it for me.

I tried Guild Wars, and it's much of the  same. Hit a Function Key, flames are thrown, and then I watch the toolbar for 10 seconds so I can throw more flames at monsters. I end up watching the toolbar more than the action.

Are there any good games out there with the old SWG Combat Queue style of play? I bought WoW to try but I bet it's the same "cool down" toolbar watching type game.

To put it plainly, the CU sucks. It is totally unbalanced, BH rule the game, the servers are empty, combat is tiresome, and grouping is a total pain for those who were once soloers such as myself. Customer service has reached an all time low as far as communication with the player base goes. They totally blew off all the nay-sayers during beta and instead put a beta game into live. Half my friends left the game (including my brother), 75% of the professions are now useless, crafters are disappearing, and SOE put a fantasy game level based system over a wonderful skill based one in which combat was based on your tactics and not a comparison of your level. That's my say in the matter and I fell that the CU was one of the worst things I have ever seen in video game history.
