All I see is newbies wandering around wondering what to do and who ever is left hanging out chatting or spamming AFK messages. There are those who are busy with JTL but JTL is lame and won't keep this game alive. Pretty sad...  is what I think of the ones in charge. It has so much potential and if only the DEVS werent so inflated with their egos and lame ideas and actualy played the game the way the players do and stopped to think about the game logicaly, maybe it would be better.

Many are playing WoW AND SWG. Most of the people I know on Naritus are not leaving, just enjoying both games.

Coronet is still full of people as ever :-)

There ARE many people in space and therefore a bit less on the ground - but on the other hand that has reveived some traditional NPC cities such as Mos Eisley, which is a good thing, as people go there to meet their space trainers.

And any newbie wandering about not knowing what do do should just simply listen to any of the many player recruiters that offer them MANY free things to join cities, guilds .. whatever .. free ships, houses, vehicles, droids, armor, weapons ... etc. If they dont answer to these offers .. /shrug

Have fun

there have always been noobs wandering around, to the most part noobs can be annoying, act like they know more than you, and overall just something you dont want to deal with. this is NOT applicable to all, but most people help someone, experience what i described and never touch a noob again.

that is why a lot of noobs wander without help, not because people are leaving, and even then a lot of people still help noobs, its just because the starting areas were restored to anywhere you want that there arent a pack of noob helpers and greifers waiting for em.

it hasnt really changed at all, its been this way since launch.

Im personally leaving WoW for SWG now. Just waiting for total experience package to come out. I convinced a few of my friends to try SWG as well and a few have even bought just SWG and JTL and are already hooked. Im leaving cause it just gets boring once your "done" the game, hit 60, get awesome gear, get epic mount and do some pvp just stops being fun after a while. If your going to WoW, good luck and have fun and make sure you start on a low server cause the servers are laggy as hell. Especially when near populated areas.

Heh oh yeah one more thing, if you were turned off by "newbs" in SWG wait till you get to WoW. 25% of every servers population has no idea what theyre really doing and end up making costly mistakes when your out leveling that costs the life of your group. I also found WoW to have one of the worst communities as its filled with a lot of people that are 10-14 years old who spam chat lines with "I own you mofos" and the regular immature responses that follow. WoW=kids game.

Let me invite you to the Naritus server, where you can reach me via in game mail as Novarider or Delos.

You will get a full free starter package (money, vehicle, droid, ship etc.) with no strings attached. Several readers from this forum have already done that, so you will be amongst friends.

Have fun

Dont get me started ! The twichy hyper-active kids that draw 10 mobs into the group by first running ahead and then dragging half the instance back into the group for a (near) wipe. Not once, but often ... if you let them !! you can only leave the group .. which often means restarting the instance with a new group.

And yes, so many have NO CLUE about their abilities ... it hurts to watch. And when you help them you have just gained a weight on your ankle as he follows you around and gets in trouble screaming for help. There comes the time when you just watch him die and smile ... and then the BS tells start. /addignore.

Have fun

I personally can't wait to get into SWG. Been waiting impatiently for a week now. Only 4 more days till the SWG:TE gets released. I cancelled WoW 2 months ago. The honor system was the last straw for me (after the crappy crafting, the lack of hero classes, the lack of Battlegrounds, and Blizzards constant lying about...everything).

The assumption that since WOW has so many players it must have taken them all from other games is way off base.

If you check the charts you can see that the number of MMORPG subscriptions was about 2.5mil before WOW and EQII came out.  After they came out it jumped to 4.25 mil.  Just because WOW has 1.5 mil subscribers does not mean all other games lost 1.5 mil, all games gained 1.75 mil and WOW got 1.5 mil of them.  Many games did lose players, but not in massive numbers.

Please note "subscriptions" is not subscribers.  Many players have more then one subscription.

Wow is getting a lot of players into the MMORPG. It was my 1st MMORPG and i enjoyed it a lot. Like many have said before, it's boring once you hit lvl 60. So i started looking for another game and now i am playing SWG, and i must say i like it a lot so far. And i dont think i am the only one, i was really surprised by how crowded the newbi area is.

It's kinda overwhelming at first though, but reading the forums and stuff really helps.
