A friend of mine talked to his GM friend at msn , La and soe are very happy at the current state of the game and began on planning of a expansion for SWG, he said it will be the biggest expansion of SWG , they are planning on a big advertisement campaign before christmas also . There will be instances where you and your group members can play as darth vader, luke skywalker,leia , han solo , boba fett and YODA!!!!!!

A little late in the year for an April Fools gag I think.

If it is true then great, I'll probably give it a try but I don't beleive that game as old as it is will try something big like that. Maybe if they announce F2P at the same time it would make more sense but I'm not holding my breath on that rumor.

 I don't know, ignore the OP's post and just think about the idea for a bit, it could be possible.

 With all the hype surrounding SWTOR, this could be a really good time to snatch up some new (maybe even old) player's money while they egerly wait for SWTOR to come out. Seems like it could be a pretty solid business plan to me :P

Sadly, this post was necro'd from last year mate.

While I think a lotta fans would love to have seen an expansion, I honestly don't think it'll ever happen again with SWG. They have a 3 Dev staff atm and 2 of the 3 Devs were QA members just months ago. Even the TCG Updates have ceased, which is very troubling. They may just be running late on the next "expansion", but I don't see it as a good sign.
