Go find a post a single post on this forum where I have told someone to buy the game or even play it.  There is not one single stupid post not one not in this thread or any other.  You seem to think that this thread about what happens at level 90 and me saying "the same thing as any other game when you hit a level cap" is somehow me telling him to play a game.  get real its not (in your head it is).  I rarely even enter threads and comment in thread that start with "should i play this game" because I think they are silly. 
I remember I commented in one lol a guy gave all the reasons why he should not play and I told him this is not the game for him and to find something else to play.  Yet somehow I'm marketing?   I got flamed for that too you know and it got flamed as marketing somehow someone managed to twist that even.
Not once in any single thread have i said when someone asks if they should play the game have I even hinted yes.  
I dont think I have ever come to tell someone that their opinions of why they dislike the game are invalid in fact I have had peopl thank me for not flaming them because they dont like the game.  That's a far cry from what you say i'm doing.   I dont force things down people's throats I do however talk about games.

Rogue 5 and Julio said exactly the same thing for the company and the game they worked for -- maybe this isn't the game for you. It's an SOE line when people say they do not like what they have done to this game.
You don't have to "tell someone to buy a game" to be advertizing for it. You do advertize it, plain and simple -- whether you want to admit it or not. You spend an enormous amount of time here on these boards sticking up for the game and yet claim to "hate" the company which makes it -- I find that bizarre. I understand you don't, oh well.
I never said you didn't get upset when I catch you lying -- you ALSO get very upset when I and others do that. That's almost normal -- although a person confident in what they say wouldn't get upset when someone catches them in a lie, they would merely calmly show how what they said was not a lie, and was the truth. You DO get awfully defensive, which is certainly interesting. Plus maybe if a bunch of other people have also caught you lying, maybe, just MAYBE, ummax, it's YOU.
But that wasn't my point. You also get VERY upset whenever I so much as question you or your opinions, and THAT I find even more interesting that when I catch you lying. You are extremely defensive no matter WHAT I say about what you say, and that is very interesting.
I guess you aren't going to even explain that, just deny and get all upset even more. Oh well.
By the way, this has nothing to do with being positive or negative -- you seem to be extremely negative here -- you seem to be downright miserable -- just not about SOE or SWG. I consider myself an extremely positive person -- I am optimistic to a fault -- just not about SOE or SWG.

NOt sure what you are talking about. I am not the least bit paranoid. You obviously didn't read what I wrote. I wrote that you are doing what you are doing FOR FREE. That means I don't think you are a paid viral marketer (although SONY has been caught using them in the past, so even believing taht certainly would not be paranoid, even though I don't).

Considering what he does here? He offers his opinion on a GAME that he chooses to play, and gets accused of "advertising" (there's no "Z" in advertise, btw) and "marketing." And when he gets his hackles up about being accused of "advertising," you start wondering why he's getting "all upset by simply being questioned."

He does NOTHING wrong here. All he does is go against the groupthink, and he is flamed for it. And yes, it's a flame. Nothing new here.

Which is why it's so obviously and openly hated on this site.  Most people don't take the time to analyze exactly why they hate WoW, but they know in their gut that it represents trends they resent, because the gaming genre they claim as their own has gone off in a direction that they don't like.

Someday, when the costs of development go down, we'll return to niche games that old school MMORPG players can enjoy.  But right now, and for the next decade or so, you won't see this, because the investment in a major MMO is so great that spectacular returns are expected, and that means you must pander to the powergamer/metagamer crowd.
