Can someone please tell me how does PVP work as a bounty hunter or in general?

Can I kill someone and loot them? if not what Risk and Rewards does pvp have in SWG?

Also how does the Jump to Lightspeed pvp work?

There's no risk at all anymore, loss of e-pride if that's something that bothers you but that's about it. As for reward, just bounty rewards in the form of credits.

I will always miss pre-CU but I still enjoy the game.

For space PvP, launch, go to deep space and declare at the Imp or Rebel station.

There is no looting of players, ever, in SWG.

You can flag yourself open to PvP by going Special Forces, as an Imperial or a Rebel.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

There is no real PvP in this game.  No risk, no loss, nothing.  The classes aren't really setup for PvP anyway.

You gain and lose faction through pvp kills or dying in pvp . As you move up in rank you can use faction to buy items from recruiters . The items are weapons, Armor , Vehicles bufffs etc.... .To get involved in pvp you simply declare special forces for your respective side . There is a PVP centric city on rori called restuss , There are also static bases on certain planets people fight to control .On top of that to control a planet you have to have more player dropped factional bases on that planet . You can destroy enemy bases , IN an effort to take control for your side. I'll let someone who has an interest in JTL explain PVP in space for you.

Normal PvP works like this, after joining a Faction (Rebel or Imp) you can tell the faction recruiter that you wish to go Special Forces, or type /PvP. It takes about 30 seconds to flag yourself for Ground PvP. At that point you will be open for attack by anyone or be able to attack anyone flagged Special Forces as well. When you kill someone depending on their Faction Rank you'll gain an amount of points that will help you rank up.

You also have Restuss on Rori and 3 Special Forces Base's. One is on Naboo, another on Corellia and another on Talus. Now by your side holding onto Restuss or one of those Bases you'll get a tick every now and then for a good amount of Faction Points. Note that you do have to be there at Restuss or at the Base in order to get it, and you must be in the PvP Zone.

Now with all of this you can pick up some useful items. At Restuss you have a Faction Base outside the city where you can pick up Quests in order to get Commendations. With Commendations you can buy some Weapons and Armor from your side, both the Rebels and Imp's get the same Weapons. The Armor you can get is Crusader Armor, both sides get the same stats but the Armor doesn't look the same.

The Special Forces Bases offer Stims and small Buff Items that are very useful for PvP and PvE. The longer your side has held the base, the better the Items you can get are.

After all of this then you have your GCW rank, your goal is to work your way up to the Officer Ranks. At the first six ranks you really don't get anything, no Buff's but you do get a nice painting and a good neckless before you hit the Officer Ranks. The Officer Ranks start to give you Buff's that can help in PvP and PvE. And you can buy items as well. There is a Faction Banner that gives a buff to you and anyone in the faction around you, and the Buff is based on your Class. A Comlink that spawns two Level 90 NPC's. The GCW Armor Set comes in two parts so you'll have to rank up two times to get the whole suit. The Command BARC, namely a reskinned BARC that has a Rebel or Imp logo on it and lastly the GCW Weapon Set when you hit General. I should note that both the Rebels and Imp's do get the same Weapons, however... The Rebels can buy a DL44 Pistol that does high damage, and the Imp's can get a E11 Carbine that does the same damage but is a Carbine.

Anyway that's the GCW System for the ground, lets go over Bounty Hunting.

In order to Bounty Hunt other Players you should be at Level 90 and it would be wise to have a suit of Armor with 35's on it. Along with that have some High Level Weapons, be it one of the new Crafted Weapons from a Weapon Smith, a Crafted Weapon from a Heroic. You can still use something like a Guardian Lighting Cannon from Mustafar, you also have a Collection that is a Bounty Hunter Collection. Namely you can use Bounty Check on High Level NPC's and after killing 8 of them get a EE-3 Carbine or a DC-15 Rilfe Schem, both are very good Weapons for a BH.

Now you'll have 3 Bounty Missions to pick from, you have your normal PvE Missions. The PvP Missions and lastly the Smuggling Missions. Lets go over the PvP Missions first...

Before we go on you can take Missions to hunt Rebels or Imp's, depending on what Faction you are you should hunt the other Faction. If your Rebel and you hunt Rebels, chances are your not going to make any Rebel Friends.

Anyway after taking the missions you'll be given the Players Biosig, you'll want to leave town and call down a Probe Droid. You'll then give the Probe Droid the info on said Player, and the Droid will give you a message after a few minutes about what Planet the Player you are hunting is on. When getting to said Planet you can launch a Tracker Droid, you can have the Droid Track the Target or just tell you the name of said target and be given one waypoint to where they are at that point in time.

Now if the Target is on Kash or Mustafar, your droid will be unable to track the target. Still I'd guess about 80% of the time your target is going to be in Restuss or a PvP Base. So the first thing you will think of is rushing in and Blasting away... Go ahead if you like getting killed...

Player Bounty Hunting is about useing your head, if the Target is in a PvP Zone or on Mustafar or Kash, wait for him to come to you. Also before Blasting away at him, check his or her's buff's and what type of Armor and Weapon they are useing. I see way too many newbie BH's that rush in and blast away. Still take your time going after the target. Also see what type of Class they are playing. Chances are it will be Jedi, Officer, Commando or another BH.

Your Smuggler Missions work like this, a Smuggler has PvP Smuggling Runs we can do. So you know that you'll be facing a Smuggler rather then one of the Class above. Me being a Smuggler sorry I'm not going to help ya out much with those. I will say along with the Credits you'll lose Underworld Faction, that's good in your case as a BH as you'll get a title with the loss of Underworld Faction.

Lastly we have Space PvP, and there are two ways to go about doing Space PvP. Go into Deep Space or flag yourself at a Faction Space Station. Really if your looking for Space PvP just go into Deep Space...

I should note also some Pilots look down on people that fly reward ships. Namely the Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter and as of late the ARC-170 namely due to the hitbox size of those ships. On Starsider flying an Eta-2 in PvP will not make you any friends...

I'd read up on the Pilot Forums as they do give you a ton of info on Space PvP.
