Reports are filing into several newsdesks now from former Lucas Arts employees that the Bioware / LA mmo is KOTOR 3.

I just want to take this opportunity to remind the good folks here who flamed me, called me a liar, and worse that I was the one who reported this years ago.

Here was the last post of mine from another site...

http://www.rlmmo.com/viewtopic.php?t=5582

Maybe now when I report something people will give me the benefit of the doubt.

Like Ive posted before, Bioware and LA started work on the next Star Wars MMO since December 2005 (right after the NGE). They are in a race to get the MMO out to take advantage of marketing the television show.

I still recall the stinging comments when I reported that my brother-in-law scored an interview with Bioware and that he was told the MMO was star wars themed. "Oh they would never tell what the project was" type comments.

When a friend and I did some dumpster diving and found conceptual art renderings at Bioware's Austin studio I was asked to scan /post pics or I was lying. Didnt matter that I had received a letter from Bioware's inhouse Legal team threatening legal action if I showed Bioware's project online.

Anyway its now pretty much confirmed by several bitter ex-employees that Bioware's MMO is based on the Star Wars universe. LA has decided to follow many US corporations and outsource their labor to India and China so they can pay slave wages.

It will be interesting to guage what the current SWG gamers will think of this news. Anyone with an account post this over there please. Im signing up for the vet trial if its still around and gonna spread the word. Our long wait is finally almost over.

Ok, I dont even play SWG. My main issue is that you said you received a written letter from them to not post anything on the internet about their project?

You found their art drawings in the TRASH! That is public property. So, please explain why you didnt actually post their stuff... Unless you were payed off or given some sort of compensation.

Once something is thrown away in the trash... The owner of said property relenquishes any such "hold" on said property.

correct me if im wrong? Im just going by what I see

You could have labelled a thread UNOFFICIAL or SUPPOSED or I THINK THIS IS... or something....and scanned the pics....given some sort of proof...or whatever... Thoughts?

Yes thats 100% true. But they can still sue you anyway. I didnt feel like hiring a $200 an hr attorney over this matter. Still, I posted what I saw and went into detail about the pics and other things going on at their studio

So it's KOTOR 3 in an MMO form huh?

I hope they don't try to be "iconic" and let you do personal quests for "Revan"...

We'll see.  I still don't think it is going to be KOTOR.  I think it's going to be in the Episode 2 or 3 timeframe.

Maybe I missed something but I don't see how this confirms anything. It's still simply us taking your word for it.   I haven't seen anything yet on any big websites. Basically all I see is this is how it is, take my word for it. Now I'm not calling you a liar, but do you see how that can be hard for people to believe?

Umm have you seen the news from various gaming sites ? Ex-LA employees have spilled the beans. Im quite sure they confirmed the people they spoke with were actual ex-employees and not some nut off the street.

LA fired 100 people over the past week. These bitter folks are not going down quietly.

Are you going to cover my legal expenses in case Bioware comes after me for damaging their license or posting trademarked rendering or whatever other excuse they come up with ?

Well Professor, I find your methods quite unorthodox for a gentleman of high learning like you.

Dumpster diving at Bioware? Mercy what is this world coming to? $4.00 per gallon? – Oh never mind.

The Folks at rlmmo are a well-known splinter group from MMORPG (Thanks NGE!) who even at times make me feel like Rodney Daingerfield (I get no respect) but they unlike other groups that I have had the pleasure of visiting these many years on my quest to right the wrong done by SOE, they are an intelligent group and know the industry. I am sorry that you have had a parting.

Back to your Methods. If you really obtain some treasure about the next MMO from Bioware from floating around their garbage its still their intellectual property and thusly their stern but very appropriate legal warning to you should be well heeded. You are the Indiana Jones of MMOs , Professor. But today was not your day.

So what about the fact that when you originally posted your dumpster findings a few months back, you told everyone that the concept art you found was of characters from the upcoming Clone Wars TV series?

I love how you constantly twist and bend your stories around to fit whatever the current hot rumor happens to be.

Change the story enough times and it's bound to be right eventually, I guess.

Well just to help out the OP a little....

http://computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=190412

Perhaps that will help his statements a little. Though the OP should have posted something to backup the statement, it was pretty easy to find from google.

Now, my opinion..... YAY!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

Actually I never once said anything about the characters being clone wars toons. I simply described what I saw and other posters stated who they were. And yes it does seem they were clone wars avatars.

Also, your confusing the term KOTOR as meaning a timeline before episode 1. KOTOR 3 could mean any timeline. And considering LA has a television show set between episode 3 and 4 (clone wars) it would make perfect sense that Bioware's latest MMO is set in the same timeline.

Im not calling the MMO KOTOR 3 cause frankly too many people keep thinking that means Old Republix timeline. That term was used by an ex-LA employee. Nevertheless, it is a Star Wars theme MMO so forget the semantics.

I reported truthfully 2+ years ago about a star wars Bioware led MMO. Some ex-LA employees have come forward to state that yes Bioware's MMO is Star Wars themed.

I feel vindicated despite what you may think because I know Im right and the evidence keeps mounting. There will be another Star Wars MMO

I'm not disputing the validity of the current rumor. What I have objection to is the OP trying to include this rumor as validation of all the crap he's been spewing since BioWare announced they were making an MMO.

Anybody with half a brain has known all along that this MMO was going to be Star Wars related. It just takes a true gem like the OP to pretend as though he had official sources/proof telling him so all along.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to confirm the current rumor in regards to this. As for whether or not he was right...... Yes, he was, but it really doesn't mean anything. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

No shit Sherlock. I'm not saying that there won't be, and I never did. Go ahead and research my posts if you want--I've always believed that BioWare's MMO was Star Wars related. What irks me is that you have to act as though you had all these official connections telling you this was the case. What about when you were claiming that you had proof from an anonymous source that BioWare was extremely interested in SWG's pre-cu code base? You're rumors are all inconsistent with one another.

You're also being waaaay too flexible with the "KOTOR" name. If the game coming out is labeled as a KOTOR 3, or has KOTOR in the title at all, it will be based around the general timeline that the first two games were, because that's what would be expected given the name. Anything else would be misleading. If it took place in the Clone Wars era, don't you think the disgruntled employee would have called it a Clone Wars MMO, and not a KOTOR MMO?

Whatever. I've said this MMO was Star Wars the entire time as well--on here as well as BioWare's forums. I just didn't try to make my guesses sound like they were coming from the horses mouth.

yeah whatever....

I reported this rumor BEFORE Bioware even announced developing an MMO. I reported Bioware's massive dev hiring BEFORE they went public. I went into great details about the mass interviews, where they were held, and more.

I was told Im crazy, Bioware would never work on an MMO. I was told I was nuts that Bioware would never work with LA again. I was told Bioware has stated they will never work on a licensed IP again. I was told that Bioware and LA have both denied again and again that they are NOT working on KOTOR 3 or a Star wars MMO. On and on and on and on....

Sorry if Im coming across as arogant to anyone but this is vindication for me and it feels dam good. And when the "official" announcement comes remember this post and the others Ive made for 2+ yrs.

The folks doing the interviews were looking for devs with pre-cu experience. This has been publicly stated by Bioware in fact. Interpret that however you like but thats what they were looking for. And they certainly did go about accomplishing this by hiring several original SWG dev members

And assuming KOTOR 3 means old republic timeline doesnt make sense. Yes the first 2 were Old Republic, so what.

Im not even saying the game isnt set in the OR. I would actually prefer the MMO to be set post episode 6 or pre-episode 1. Lot more room for a good story there and no issues with violating cannon.

I always thought one of SWG's biggest mistakes was setting a timeline where it did.

regardless, my original point is I reported someone I knew back then had interviewed for Bioware about a star wars themed MMO. They had mentioned wanting pre-cu experience. They went about hiring several ex-SOE SWG devs. ex-employees state that MMO is star wars themed.

No need to argue. this is good news for any of us who lost their game in Nov of 2005. Lets just hope we get something closer to swg pre-cu than wow or nge

Hey, OP, with all do respect, we get the point.

On the other hand, what unresolved childhood issues do you have that you found it necessary to dumpster dive LA/Bioware garbage cans to prove yourself correct?  We are after all talking about just a game.  Yet, you went to these extremes to prove yourself correct.  Freud would have us believe it has something to do with your desires for your mother which we won't go into here.  Masters and Johnson would have us believe that this has something to do with a lack of breast feeding resulting in a lack of attachment to your mother.  Either way, we do need some psycho-analysis on this subject.  You have a deep need for acceptance in an online forum which is disturbing, at best.

I don't mean any disrespect to you here.  I am concerned for your mental well being.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."
