bioware is the new blizzard of the gaming world. kotor was fun yes however look at the two games they did after kotor. jade empire that didn't do all that well and mass effect is halo with a level system. not only that they have talked about how they want to make a mmo somewhat like warcraft and that is not a good sign. and i don't think they would put in anything that would made the pre-cu one of the greatest systems of all time.

rather we would get some action rpg that is kotor meets mass effect. also you know bioware is in bed with Micro$oft as they have stated alot how they love the xbox systems and how Micro$oft helps them out with everything. ea has many people who support the xbox as well. so whatever this mmo they are working on will come out on the xbox 360 and that we will have the halo kiddies on it in no time.

unless bioware tells M$ to stick it and makes a game that we want. namely pre-cu with alpha classes then it will bomb in no time.

as i have talked about before eve is going to be the template for mmo's in the next few years. something bioware has not looked at.

If it's Star Wars, I'm in.

I'd love a StarWars MMO.  I'm not at all burnt out on the idea. 

It's the being misled part of SWG that got old.  That and all the bugs, along with promises of fixes that never come.  That and the NGE and all it stands for.

Another StarWars MMO that actually works well and that isn't ripped out from under us after years of investment would be most welcome.  For some it might even be some kind of corrective emotional experience to help them heal from all the SWG B.S..

I should add that the EULA will have to read much differently than SOE's.  No more "we reserve the right to do whatever the hell we want at our sole discretion, and if you don't like it then F.U..  I'll be looking for a much more "user" friendly user agreement.  If I don't see it, I won't pay for the service.

Really I don't think as many people give a shit what BioWare is working on ATM since we have no idea what it's about. We've been on the rumor (and hype)-o-go-round for like 2 years now. I could really give a shit less what it is at this point till they announce it. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore.

I have always been a big fan of Star Wars and it took the NGE to keep me away from its MMO.

I will certainly give it a try but I fear we will continue to see more "iconic" and "starwarsy" features in this MMO rather than what we enjoyed from PRE-CU.

I can see all the swg fans complaining because its not swg. But yes I would try it.

I would not want a new SW MMO to be anything like SWG no matter what version of it we are talking about. Those days are gone and I am ready for something new and innovative.

Odds are in favor of any MMORPG with lucasarts involved will be Jedi heavy. They believe that anything Star Wars without Jedi sells not...

So for anyone that thinks a future Star Wars MMORPG will get you away from longswords and magic... Don't get your hopes up.. They are just renamed and retextured.

Yes, I'll try it and most likely like it even if it's another WoW turn out because it's Star Wars. I sure as hope to hell there's not another single MMO game out there in the near future with 3 rows of buff shit like this that makes pvp suck:

Maybe, I am going to play AoC if that game is as good as I want it to be then no. If it sucks then sure why not.

KOTOR was one of the best Star Wars games ever made... So yes, I would trust an Old Republic like MMO from Bioware.
