Hell if i wanted to play a game that never changed i would throw a disk in the ps or xbox. playing eq2 and two worlds

Being a Mac user I've had the pleasure of trying out that game. They stopped updating it AT ALL several years ago, yet they still run that server. I can't remember the last xpack for it, but it couldn't have been more than 1 or 2 after PoP. They've happily taken money from those people for years without giving them even a single patch to fix bugs. Do you really think they're going to can a game that has probably 20x the users of EQMac? SWG will only die when they loose the contract with Lucas, and so long as they continue to pay the licensing fees to Lucas, why would it get cancelled?

While I respect Macs because they made a wise choice in making their base kernel off the Linux kernel and they provide superior graphics to anything a standard PC will ever put out, the plain fact that they lack general support due to years of bad decisions keeps me away from ever owning one.

Nah, I'm waiting for the big announcement that says... with the whole d2d thing going on i asked someone who i know and trust about what is going on. and here we go. swg subs are now under 8k and la has not been happy for the last few months. they are now demanding that the pre-cu system be put back into the game. $OE however still claims that it cannot be done so LA is pulling the plug on the game. by this friday there should be news about this from $OE who are already trying to spin it as it is being moved over to la. even tho it will be shutting down. and what do the nge fanbois get for their useless defending of $OE? they get nothing. even if they pre-paied for a few months they won't even get free time on any of $OE's other games. also from what i've been told everquest one along with planetside and matrix online will be shutting down as well in the next 3 months. we won the war people. SWG? Pull the plug already!
