I hate constantly seeing so many people claim that they know a guy who knows a guy who told them insider information. I know a member of an emulator team who has a bacherlor of computer science and currently works as a military contractor creating protocols that interface databases around the world.

After talking to him I found out he did a post graduate internship at bioware. He told me he was a debugger for them and  that he looked over code. He said that the protocols that the teams go through to keep their projects and "insider information" secret are sooo strict that he didn't even know what game he was working on.

upon questioning him what type of game he thought bioware was working on, he said that all the code he looked at had many comments eliminated. he said that it was most likely a more futuristic game because there were Variables suggesting some form of projectile weapons such as a pistol (but he worked there three years ago so it was probably mass effect he was debugging).

I also asked if any of the other interns knew or got to know any insider information when working with development teams. He said most didn't although some did catch glimpses of what was going on, but most were kept out of the loop. And even himself who was not given any information had to sign a NDA. He said he still to this day has good friends at bioware in the programming and design departments and when he askes them about their current projects they always are very closed lipped about it saying they really cant even talk about it much to even their spouses.

I like how you start out bashing people who claim to "know a guy...." and then you tell us how you know this guy at Bioware, lol

And maybe 90% of rumors turn out to be false...but that means 10% of them are true. :-)
