KOTOR:O ftw. I can't trust SOE with my money anyway. Besides, SWG has grown too old and nothing really new or innovative has been done to breathe life into it.

Even if swg were taken out of the hands of SOE it may be too damaged to ever fix it:(

for me its KOTORO or an SWG2(not that it's likely to happen:() and i'd probably vote for swg2 for the variety it offers over kotoro and as long as its away from soe

Pre-CU SWG? definately YES

KOTOR Online? definately YES

SWG should have been left alone, no CU, no NGE.

IF Lucas Arts wanted an Online game with their name on it with a ton of Jedi/Sith, then KOTOR Online should have been developed years ago instead of ruining SWG pre-CU.

and I agree that if Lucas Arts cares anything at all about the Star Wars franchise, then they will pull SOE out of consideration for any new projects.

as long as you earn force sensitive instead of just picking it at character creation.

Earning force sensitive in SWG pre-cu was ok, that could stay as long as opening up FS was more a matter of questing and game participation and not just grinding out professions and getting badges. There should have been a huge quest line to open up FS.

Well having played SWG before and not being very impressed by it being a lifelong fan of SW. I would have to say lets try KOTOR, but everything leans toward how bout neither, because if most people are gonna roll as a Jedi then its just not going to be a fun game.  i also agree with the person who said "I can't trust SOE with my money."

"you know that whole 'we come in peace business.' Bite me!"

PRE-CU STILL LIVES!

I'll be playing both

I remember back in 1999, folks kept asking me if I was stockpiling food. I always answered, "No, I'm stockpiling ammo and making a list of people who are stockpiling food"

Yes and if you look at the timeline Pre-CU was set in.. how exactly was there supposed to be a bunch of Jedi running around?  They initially picked between EP 4-5 because the alliance had become a strong force (destroyed the first death star) but the Empire was also still very strong.

Now exactly how many Jedi were running around in the films?

If Jedi was that large of a selling point to people then part of the issue is the timeline they used (imho).

Personally I never wanted to be a Jedi .. I have no idea why.. but it never appealed to me.

As to the actual OP question...

I know that if Pre-CU was back I would be there as no current game appeals to me and nothing upcoming is going to appeal to me.

KOTOR online... I wouldn't vote for simply because it will most likely follow the same design as multiple other MMO's that don't appeal to me.

Since this is a perspective thing.. that is why I would have to vote for Pre-CU.  If there was a KOTOR game actually announced as an MMO.. and it was of a design that would appeal to me.. then ..ok.  (hard to vote for what I don't know..;p )

"We already have two operating MMOs. We launched a game called Ultima Online in 1997. It's still got hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Then there's Dark Age of Camelot, we also have a situation where we have well over 100,000 subscribers."

-Frank Gibeau of Electronic Arts.

Does it seem odd that UO has more subscribers than the best RvR game on the market?
