I've never once gotten a vet trial email/notification and I haven't been subbed since last November.  I've checked my sub info on station.com and it says my account is inactive.  Any help?

Do you have the Station Launcher installed? It will tell you if you have any game time pending.

Spelling and grammar do matter.

I find your lack of real-life skills disturbing.

If there was any pending time, it would be seen on the Station account screens. My old player account got the vet trial, but one I only used for other trials is still inactive.

It's been said that you need to be signed up to receive email updates on SWG to get the vet trials, but my first vet trial (a bit over a year ago) just happened without being signed up.

The first email I ever got about a vet trial was for the current one, and all three of my accounts are active for the trial.  I had already logged in to two of them before the email arrived :).

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

I've been in 4 or 5 vet trials, including this latest, and never got an email.  Just try logging in, see what happens.

But, you're not really missing much.

All too true.  It's still the abomination that is the NGE.

My first trial I at least got to ride around on my old CH mounts and they persisted in the world after you climbed off them.  Now they poof ala WoW when you dismount.

Sucks, blows, bites.

It''s "Not that bad"

If you really want to get in on the trial, just log into your account page on station.com and see your subscription status. If you are not already subbed, you can always just ask for the trial. Personally, I've been 'excluded' from a number of vet trials, but each time I dropped them an email and gotten in.

All that being said, you're in for a big disappointment. I do however encourage everyone who can get into the vet trial to do so, if only to shut up the fanboi's who claim we haven't played the game for 3 years and don't know what we're talking about.

Last night, I spent over an hour on a tedious, repetitive, unfun mission, fighting the UI as much as the crack-addict mobs, "enjoying" a combat system that was nothing more than clicking on whatever special wasn't on cooldown, only to find my reward - lacking, at best.

Do not tell me this game has improved.

What mission did you run? I can't think of any mission that takes an hour to run. A couple of the heroic missions take about an hour to do only becuase you are hopping planets and having to go places where there are no shuttles. THe reward for those is entrance into the varoius heroic encounters which feature some of the best loot in the game (most in schematic form).

Okay, maybe I exaggerated.  Maybe it was only 50 minutes, or 45.  Whatever.  The point is, it wasn’t fun.

Run over here and find a group of statues standing in the woods.  Shoot one, find out they really aren’t statues as the entire group immediately runs straight at me, moving like monkeys hanging out at a Starbucks all day.  Run like hell, trying to figure out the camera position, spamming specials that seem to all have the same effect or none at all, and hope to do just enough damage to drop one of the group before being incapped myself.  Wake up, repeat, until I finally whittle away the group.  Sometimes, the monotony is broken up by inexplicably not being able to attack a mob directly in front of me because I cannot “see” it.  My character is a few years old, but does she have cataracts now?  Move around the opposite side of the tree and maybe I can get off a shot before the entire group somehow notices me and warps on top of my head.

At least I don’t have to worry about embarrassment, because there are no other players anywhere to see this debacle.

Collect the reward: a pile of money - useless because there is nothing to buy - and 100 experience points.  Only 8 million left to go for that next level.  Keep it up and soon I'll progress from level 78 to 90 so I too can enjoy those "heroic" encounters and all that great loot.  Yay.

No, not fun at all.
