Gods of creativity have blessed one of the first mmorpgs to take a look at the effectiveness of a 3 realm/faction pvp game.  Once the rest of the players figure out why this is so much more advanced - they will demand all mmorpgs to have 3 factions, because anything less is just lazy developing.
