Largest Game Update Since Launch Deployed
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that PlanetSide 2 has been updated with the largest patch since launch. Included in the update are new vehicles, sci-fi inspired helmets and special decals in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

New Mobile App Released
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that a new mobile application has been released for PlanetSide 2. The app allows players to keep in touch with certain aspects of the game including near real time updates to character stats, leaderboards and general updates from the battlefield, as well as voice chat with their outfit from the game.

Public Test Server Activated

New PhysX Effects Added to Battlegrounds
Sony Online Entertainment has released a new trailer to show off the enhanced PhysX graphics acceleration that has been added to the PlanetSide 2 battlegrounds. According to devs, the enhanced effects increase immersion and the quality of realism. Judge for yourself in this new video.

Update 04 Goes Live
PlanetSide 2 players will want to head into the game to check out the big new patch that has just gone live. The update features a great new 'virtual reality' training area for new players to learn the game mechanics.

March Preview Video Released

War Correspondent Episode 1 Debuts
Sony Online Entertainment and the PlanetSide 2 team have announced a new series of videos called "The War Correspondent". Robert Stoneman checked out the Miller server earlier in February and filmed an epic battle. Future installments will feature other servers with equally epic warfare.

Higby Details Laundry List of Changes for Next Update
PlanetSide 2 Creative Director Matt Higby has written a new post on the official site that gives players a good look at what's incoming to the MMOFPS with the January 30th update. In addition, Higby announced that the team is refreshed and ready to "open up the afterburners and aim for the stars" in 2013.
