"World of WarCraft is held alive solely by the mediocrity of competing products." RendRegen

So... everyone I know has been telling me that I got to play this game.  I've been telling everyone, "hell no" because I admit, I have anger issues toward SOE still over the CU and NGE for SWG.

So... yesterday I create a new account because I didn't want anyone to notice me login to a SOE game if I was on their buddy list because it's the principle of the thing...

Make myself an NC guy... get dropped into a combat zone, character doesn't even finish phasing into the zone when I see that I am dead... Seriously?  I mean SERIOUSLY?  Spawn again... this time I at least get to see the player shooting me in the face... but dead again...

How is a person suppose to learn this game if you are getting killed before you can see to move?

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

Choose to spawn at the warpgate. Use a terminal to spawn an aircraft, fly around and get used to the map.

Also expect to die often, guns are lethal.

I don't care for the way they introduce new characters to the game either. It's known to drop you into an enemy base while what few allies are in the hex are outside the walls on the other side of the base or something.

But yes, spawn at your warpgate, play around with weapons/vehicles in the safe area, and go from there.

Don't give up.   My first time ever in Planetside(PS 1) I was totally lost.  Got hot dropped into a combat zone right in front of a tank, a Magrider, got splated.    Didn't know what I was doing so I respawned in the same area.   Once again...BOOM!  Magrider killed me.    Took me a bit to get the hang of what was going on, but it wasn't a steep learning curve.   Just check the map before spawning.    Also get familiar with your weapons and systems in game.    Don't worry about your K/D.   It's all messed up right now anyways.    Just take your time and you'll get better.   :)
