Well you are wrong with that. Most of kids will snipe you with headshot and it is very rare  they miss you. Thats the dumbest thing I ever heard ! Old heads come from time when RPG was how you played and cheaters were look down on. Know body wanted to play or befreind a cheater. Today cheating a way alife and only a fool and a loser wont cheat to win  hey the next guys is so why not you. 

Played lots of PS2 and have seen the odd strange happening and experienced the unexplained death through wall. That said I saw a enemy shooting through a gate shield two days ago, I not sure If its a bug, know issue or indeed a skill!? part from that I believe they should just WATCH the crooks and WAIT let the cheaters amass the ranks and skills, certs etc then Ban! . :D. In my eyes that would be more painfull than banning a Rank 5 cheater only for him/her to restart over and carry on cheating under a new account. I'm Loving PS2 thou shed loads of screaming fun.!

I had something really weird happen to me last night. I was teleporting into a HIGHLY contested Bio Lab and somehow got stuck in the wall of the teleport room. With the wierd clipping plane i was able to see AND SHOOT the guys hiding behind the room. Then i walked out of the wall... Not sure how this all happened but it definitely could have been seen as hacking. I know if i was the guy getting shot I would have thought it was.

So... I wonder how many circumstances like this have been reported as hacking when it is really just a bug.

I've also found a neat exploit, in high constested battles shields stop rendering at a certain distance, as an ESF I was able to shoot the vehicles behind it despite the generator still being up.

I guess I should report it next time i'm on.

I can see cheating in single player games, but a shooter game that you are wanting to enjoy. I don't see the enjoyment of looking good while cheating, no one cares about you.

The only thing I see it as, is just trolling. Just to piss people off and thinking it's fun. Then they really do need to look at their life.

However, I haven't played PS2. I'm downloading it now just to see. In many games, people always scream of hackers, hell, I've been banned from many servers because they thought I was hacking. I admined for a few servers and I've watched, and I can pretty much tell who are and who aren't. Not sure if you can spectate players on this game. It'll be hard to come to a conclusion without watching them. If the person who is watching have piss poor sound, then they cannot tell if the person is using "wall hacks" or not.

Players who like to camp at the same location of a popular area or spot, expect it to get shot as soon as people go in. If no one sees anyone and goes in, of couse people WILL shoot towards the spot where they think players are if they know the map or location. If they want to keep their KDR up. It's better to do that then to go in and look and get shot by the camper.

Anyways, I hope the game is really as fun as people said it was. I watched my brother when he started, and it seemed like a bunch of spawn camping. Then the place got tooken over. He spawned in a different location, so it doesn't seem bad now. If the people are taking something over, they don't want you to spawn there. So lets see how this game goes.

PS2 isn't like COD or BF, if you have not played the game, your inferences are not valid.

I've encounted one.   A TR player who would teleport behind you like Deadpool.   My squadmate was pissed, but I found it kind of fun.   It was like having a boss battle.   Even managed to kill him once.   Was in the Freyr Amp Station, he probably got me six times in total, three times repairing generators he teleported almost inside me, since i was backed into the corner behind the generator, and a few other times in random places.   And once while I had just repaired a turret I saw him crossing the snow outside the base in the distance.   So I hopped in the turret, fired a shot at him and poof he disappeared.  So i exited the vehicle and poof he teleports behind me.    Haha, I still thought it was fun though....

Another time in Freyr Amp Station, on Soltech Server, everyone froze.   But me, I was just repairing turrets.   And I noticed an enemy and friendly just running in place.   Figured the both d/c'd or something, but then I found more.   An enemy sunderer and a group of enemies all just frozen in time, one mid-air with his jetpack.   A Vanu MAX on the wall just shooting into the sky at a friendly frozen above him.    So I went through them all with my shotgun, using all the ammo, got all the certs like everything was normal.   Then I went ahead and finished repairing turrets, moved on to the next based and everything was normal.  Every player was moving, so I have no idea what happened....   Or what the perspective was from those that I killed.    So anyone that died mysterisousily on Soltech a few days ago at the Amp Station on Essamir, I'm sorry.     :p     

I was not in the game long enough to get an accurate count on the percentage of hackers in it. I didn't find the game interesting enough to keep playing either and I'm a huge FPS gamer.

However here is a fact for many to ponder.

Hackers are in every FPS game but is manageable to still keep playing. In mmorpg's that have PvP or are PvP centric almost everyone is using script programs to basically...yup....cheat. I find I have an easier time dealing with a few hackers in FPS games because I can still kill them regardless of the fact verses mmorpg's in PvP where there's no way in hell I have a chance against scriptors.

Overall I think the majority of honest gamers are completely fed up with multiplayer FPS games and mmorpg's which is why co-op games are a huge success nowadays. This is where the gaming market is headed because more honest gamers would rather have that multiplayer game structure than the others and all of those that hack and use script programs can take a bow, you're the ones who have ruined multipler games for the honest players.

What we need going forward in multiplayer games is more co-op and private servers. MMORPG's are a dying breed nowadays, the genre has lost it's luster. The F2P model is for companies to make more profit with a cr@ptastic game play experience for the gamer. There is only a few decent titles out at the moment  worth trying.

2013 will be a far better year for gamers especially from what I've seen in development. 2012 for me will be the year of the biggest hyped and worse failure of a game I can remember since SWG which is War Z, what a let down. I will not miss 2012 it was a sucky year.

Seeing tons of them, yesturday we had a few somehow slip into our Allatum bio Defense and start 1 shoting people with a shotgun.  We had no clue how they could get past our defenses... Then this morning im hiding in a corner in a building and all of a sudden this guy drops down from the ceiling and lands on top of me, complete with a drop animation and all.... Keep in mind I am in a small building with only 2 side doors to enter and exit out of and that is it, no top entrances and certainly nothing above my head... He just Feel through the freaking ceiling and landed right on me.. I thought it might be a glitch but 1 min earlier I heard someone call out "spotted a nme medic" which I just so happen to be.. So I took off and went into that building...

Reporting is ineffective and is comical since that is all you can do /report... No way to give a detail of what happend just /report (players name)....

I knew SOE was going to pretty much just blow this aspect of the game off, I just had no idea how bad..

All I can say is prepare to be Aimbotted and Wallhack shot when you play this game, it will happen OFTEN....

Yeah, I totally agree with this.

While not hacking at all, players creating alternate accounts to simply teamkill on their server is rather annoying.  It's only happened twice, but last time was obvious on Soltech when x13eastmodex, a Vanu player, apparently went through the trouble to make another account to make an NC, N00BC0NGL0M8, to kill me.   He even yelled, "Ok, now I can go back to Vanu" in chat after, lol.

He's like battlerank 50 or something on his main account to.   But is there really any point in reporting his other NC account?   Do they even look at IP address or anything?  Because I can report his Vanu character but...if they just look at him for hacking or anything, well....      So yeah, it sort of takes a lot out of the game when someone can just hop accounts and go teamkill you, waste your resources/vehicle/killstreak, but mainly just ...meh.   

Hacking does exist in game.  From being ghosted from something with no name of who killed you, to people blinking around without taking damage.

However, I'd say the vast majority of deaths are indeed due to something else.  Thinks from a anti-tank mine, that will insta-kill you, to a sniper, to a lucky hit from a tank.  It happens. Hell, I cuss up a storm and have already broken a headset :)

Just yesturday I saw 2 guys traveling at warp speed as grunts, one was on my team (Vs) the other NC.. Everyone saw then they would just run past you as fast as a EFC and they were on FOOT!

Saw a TR max unloading clips of his burster at insane speeds ( I liked this one because I hate the Air domination that is going on)

Saw reports of 3 different guys shooting through walls...

I can honestly saw this FPS has more hackers then anyone I have EVER PLAYED... I can remember once in a while seeing someone in ut2004, COD, TF or Battlefield Soldiers come in with obvious hacks but that was rare. In Planetside 2 you see them CONSTANTLY EVER SINGLE DAY!

And to think they havent even opened the server to CHINASIDE where the real hacks to place!

Oh and another thing as those who have played can confirm, you will fall through the floor (geometry) OFTEN.  Not only that there is a exploit that some people have figured out that will cause alot of others to Crash!?....
