Okay, so here is my second review of a game that really needed one.
This game Eden Eternal was released by Aeria Games on June 16th 2011.
First we will wtart with the visuals. Why is it a 7.5 you might be asking? Well the reason is long so you will sit here and read everything I have to say about it. The graphics engine was made for a large range of PC's to be able to handle and run the game smoothly. It's anime style was meant to attract not only men in there 20's-40's, but children and Ladies as well. However It has alot of sprite problems with all others races except for human while mounted. It also has a bug with the wings sprite where if you sit down out of combat your wings will be bugged with you repeadedly hitting U untill your wings reset.
While I have nothing bad to say about the sound effects with the game at hand (They fit perfectly), I still cant get over how there are only like 7 audio tracks with the thems repeading after the 3rd set of notes is played over and over and over again. Did I mention the Alpaca's make very cute sounds? Thats what saves me from turning off the sound altogether when I play.
There are a lot of quests and classes to get you trew the game. Dalies,Kill(X),Craft(X),Delivery Boy. There are also books to take while on your original quests that will take you straight trew the story line if you kill all the rare monsters to lvl 39. There you will have to pick up dailies and Guild quests, while running dungeons to get you trew the last 20 lvls. This title comes complete with Titles(Stat Giving),Achievments, and an Archive to store Rare Items in. However the very high rate of grinding after the first 40 levels keeps the games fanbase from raising at a large rate.
Like most MMO's you have that are F2P this one has a very high rate of gold sellers and advertisers. Being in the main town you will unlikely find a channel where you are not being spammed 24/7. However if you are out of the main town you can usually meet a lot of different people (Some nice, some not) to do your quests with. There are guilds that territory wars, as well as player rooms and guild towns that try to keep the game very sociable. There is also Same Sex Marriage, Child Adoption, and Family Skills. With most F2P societys you will have your big money making elitest that make free players feel unwelcome, this mmo followes in their footsteps as well. Also starting a small guild with your friends is A great way to keep in touch with them there are some very high risk factors to owning a guild town. For example: Making a guild town, the guild has to be at least lvl 3. Also it costs 10,000 gold after the first 50 towns. Which ATM all servers have. Now the biggest factor of all, 10 people have to be logged on every 72 hours or you have to repay the 10,000 gold to reclaim your guild town. As well as rebuild all the building in that town, Rooms, ect.
When X-Legend developed this title it is clear that they wanted you to be able to play have fun with your friends and be whatever you wanted. With more 5 released races and 14 classes to chose from you have a lot of veriety. I know its all been done before (FF11) however this is the first F2P that brings these things to us without the cost of a monthly subscription. With its attractive anime style it catches not only the eyes of manga and anime viewers, but sociable gamers aswell.
Replay Value 5/10
Although you have everything to choose from after completely maxing out your classes on your main persona, there really is not a reason to re-roll another except for looks. Everything can be gained except for racial crafting from your first playtrough.
While the game certainly has very high entertaining points Territory wars, arena, and storyline. The very high rate of grinding does pull you away from most of it making it fun in small quantities, but a lot to much and you'll get bored out of grinding quick and will lose your appeal very quickly.
