Sony Online Entertainment on Wednesday announced the development of EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers - the second edition of the online role-playing game for PS2. Frontiers expands the fantasy world of Norrath with more than 160 miles of uncharted territory. Hundreds of new items and spells will be readily available to acquire. Frontiers will also offer a new playable race - the Ogres. These massive beings are both brutal warriors and powerful magicians. Frontiers also offers an in-game tutorial. The game is scheduled to ship to stores this fall. Additional features include:

• New quests
• Streaming music
• New characters to battle
• Deeper character customization
• Expanded content for high-level characters
• Graphically enhanced player models and armor
• Locations including rocky canyons and lava streams
• A new continent with three new cities
