Where is the party?  And when will I get my bloody map?

Here , is what i have found out as the last post on the Dark And Light Forums about the server down situation and the continuation of the game. There is very little chance before October to get the servers up, However  " If they  do any announcement  about new dnl servers, new patch or something like news " the servers may see its live existence before October.

So till October there is limited or no chance of any furthur development and the servers are going to be dead.

Yes, Farlan / NP3 are being sued for use of VWorld terrain engine.
No, the lawsuit has not been dismissed. Falran/NP3 couter sued and lost. It was proven in a court of French law that Farlan/NP3 stole pictures and videos from the VWorld web site to promote DnL and DnL China.

The main lawsuit is still pending and will not be decided until this fall, I believe in October.

The game server itself has been down about 3 weeks now or 4, I don't come here that often anymore, so I'm not quite sure. The devs do not actually ever post here, only the moderators do and they are not actually Devs.The devs have only posted a statement once and it blamed the once paying customers for the games failure.

lol, I just thought that the post made it look like it was from official sources, and obviously, it wasn't... Please, I beg, no one ever confuse one of my posts as something official, I'm already on enough medication as it is

China maybe? Other than the main servers, the only other location the game was released in was China. It wouldn't suprise me, last I heard the last employees of Farlan had retreated to China to hide out from the lawsuit.

Its funny. I remember back during that "SoG" non-sense which was really just beta for the game, there were conspiracy theories all the time about how when the servers were "down" they were actually still online but all the non-chinese players had been locked out of the game so that the Chinese publisher could hold events for the Chinese SoG players. Maybe its happening again?

Is there anybody on here that can verify this? I'm curious now. (And, no, don't tell me to download the game and see for myself. I like my OS and DX settings the way they are, thank you very much!)

I highly doubt they just moved the server to asia (or made it available over there without any physical move). The main reason is it going up and down a bit before it finally went down for what appears to be good.

However, the phase with all the chinese folks on the server when the Settlers where going insane to get on it actually was no theory, - that happened as a matter of fact.

This occured exactly in the timeframe when the beta server(s) went down and before SoG came up. Also, for all 3 phases just stated,
