Can someone please answer an honest question that I cannot seem to find the answer to.

Is it a PVP or nothing game (how is the PVP handled)  

Is it like EVE with area per say or Electable flag yourself etc.

There's a post in these forums that links to a review that talks about some of the PvP features ArcheAge has.

As far as I understand, it is open world PvP, with safe zones in level 30 areas and below.

Outside the safe zones*, PVP is automatically enabled everywhere.

 

*Starting areas, towns (southern continents) and houses.

You can still pvp in the towns but guards attack all
  inporylemQQ

They have lots of work to do with the pvp at the moment is quite horrible with all the safe zones and forced factions.
