Just woundering if theres anyone out there who is actually playing this game.  10$ monthly fee to me seems ridiculous.

Yeah there is still a dedicated group of players that play Meridian 59.  I can see how you think that M59 is a waste at 10.95 a month at first glance, but the game does have a good(although smaller) community and offers wide open pvp.  So for some it is the best 10.95 they have ever spent.  I do not play M59 currently but kudos to M59 and Near Death Studios for keeping this game alive for its fans for 10 years.  I wish them lots of luck and longevity for the future.  By the way most of the community can be found at http://www.gilcon.net/m59forum/ .  Go there and check it out if you are curious.  Like I said they are for the most part a good group of people.

Would anyone know if there is a way to download and play the game in some sort of trial before I give them my credit card information/etc for billing? I would like to just try this game, but not necesarily spend any money on it(personally I agree with you that it's a waste at $11). Info appriciated thanks.

PS this game looks kickass, if Only I wasn't 4 years old when it came out!
