You have to figure out a lot of the game plays out yourself but it is worth it.  I have played the free2play and there was nothing more that I needed to buy.  I won nice things for my "headquarters" and food to feed my squad.  I won coins to buy an additional mission.  The missions are fun.  You play a mission either solo or in a Team.  the teams are made up of strangers.   There can be no duplicate characters in a mission (can't have 2 Ms. Marvels, etc).   This game is fun for kids and for the adults.    To play a mission with someone you know would be fun.   As the  game progresses, it might be nice to become a paying member.

There is more to the game than what you see at first glance.

The game is for kids and parents who want to play something with their kids.  I have been playing SHSO since Closed Beta with my son and it is a fun game to play together without having to worry about d-bags, foul language and innapropriate talk.  First game I have played in a long time that doesnt have people talking about WOW every chance they get.
