Xsyon Earth 2012: Prelude Overview and Recent Content
Xsyon is an post-apocalyptic MMORPG developed and published by Notorious Games. Xyson was released in early 2011. Xsyon is a subscription based MMO with an initial $40 layout and subsequent $15/month fee.
Xsyon takes place in the year 2012 in a post-apocalyptic setting that embodies 'gloom and doom' prophecies and mythology found throughout mankind's history. Players battle mutated creatures created by the 'old gods' who have once again taken control of the Earth.
Xsyon features 'sandbox' game play and allows players to dynamically change the game through building projects as well as physically altering the world by clearing, leveling or raising the terrain. The initial geographic terrain was developed using the US Geological Survey's data but will change over time as players alter the landscape.
