Just because you can use something, doesn't mean you should. If the game is made to be used with the ps3 gamepad, that's probably what will net you the best results. Join the League For Gamers. |

That's right.. the game isn't out yet, it's being created to tie in with EVE (which has had features added constantly since release).. BUT.. since we can't use dropships to put mechs on the planet, the game has completely failed to live up to any potential it had. Nothing to see here.. move along folks... |

To clarify the mouse/keyboard discussion: Yes, you can plug them into a PS3. The thing is, I'm sure the developer has to design the game with mouse/keyboard support. I doubt that every single game supports mouse/keyboard. That said, CCP have stated multiple times in articles and in video interviews that DUST 514 -WILL- support mouse/keyboard. Let's see if we can put this 'excuse-to-hate' to rest permanently. It seems many people complain about controls, but are totally unaware that they have said several times now that it will support mouse/keyboard as well as PS3 controller. |

Never meant it as an excuse to hate, just a concern. I know that other PS3 shooters have required use of a PS3 controller, which makes them virtually unplayable for me. I was unaware that it was just a software issue, and games could be made to wortk otherwise.
Thanks for the clarification, though. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

What it should have been is an add on to the main game to bring it ground based combat, instead we get some sort of crappy console shooter. Waste of valuable resources that could have been better spent on EVE itself. (or WOD even)

Dust 514 is a awesome concept. I personally dont like Eve but I am looking foward to Dust and Planetside2. Its going to be a toss up between the two, but PS2 may win for me because it is on the PC as oppossed to another console shooter. So much crap, so little quality. |
