Looks like there is a decent number of options and sliders, but by the gods, they could have slowed it down!

wow, they are taking a page from the aion book of character creation. This in my opinion is a good thing. But who are the little bunny/rat girls? I thought they were from Blade and Soul?

That was pleasently surprising.

I really didn't expect quite that much customization available!

I am especially liking the fact you can create a viable expression. Gone are the days that all characters tend to show apathy on their faces! (Some exceptions apply, like WoW which did have the avatars show some expression.)

Looking good, though it went way too fast.

It reminds me of Aion, which is a good thing in this case, except for the lilliputters, giants and stick men that came with customization in that game.

I didn't see the bunnies before, cute, now would someone massacre them? :D

Those little bunny girls are the female Popori.... Does anyone else pronounce that similar to potpouri like I do? :)

the bunnies are the female popori? ugh. Well, it seems they are also taking a page from the Lineage 2 book as well as the dwarves had two completely distinct looks. The males were essentialy variations on old santa clause and the females were seemingly cute little girls.

Of note, the popori are a collection of nature spirits, they are not a proper race, before anyone gets ideas about animals and cat girls.

Lets hope the game lives up to expectation, its already had development extended six months to address concerns raised by the testers.

Looks good.  But they really need to redo the furry pedo girls at the end.  When the male version looks like an obese micky mouse and the female counter part looks like an 8 year old concubine with animal ears there is something wrong.

Looks promising, remeber that we're slowly entering into new generation of mmos, that kind of customization will become a standard.

As to those furry 'things' ... they'll be nice to squish on the battlefield! ;D

Just because the game looks visually similiar to Aion doesn't mean its ripping Aion off. Aion (and TERA) are being based in an artistic style that long predates EITHER of them.

Now imagine if body mass affects character movements. I'll be having the most skinniest female character with the gigantic boobs in all of creation and see her struggle to lift those up!

AMAZING!

Yep Aion character creation.  Not a big deal, but really doesn't do anything that justifies any awe.  Too bad their art style is similar, not that its bad, but it's not different at all.

What's with the little girls towards the end of the video? Did we really need that? But I guess it comes as granted being an Asian product. Same goes with huge male characters with pale skin.

And couldn't have they slowed it down?

As far as i'm concerned Aion had only 2 classes, and only one is similar to a race from TERA, the High Elves.

After playing for years to WoW it bored me cause it was just target an enemy and pressing 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 during 30 min. Then i tryied AIon and it bored me even more cause was like WoW with better graphics and a worse story and lore, and more grinding (OMFG).

I'm looking forward to this game coz his targetless battle system. If i have to compare this game to another one i would say that Monster Hunter is much more similar than Aion.

"Robust character creation system"

Since when does the ability to micro-manage your face and hair count as robust? No detail on character classes, racial differences, skills, attributes etc.

This reinforces why so many MMOsdo not achieve full potential - the cosmetic is treated as a game-breaker and the meat of the content is left as almost an after-thought.

Asheron's Call looks incredibly dated, but is still one of the best MMOs on the market for overall gameplay, character customisation, content and scope.

It's a sad state of affairs that this is what motivates players now.

nice video but, give the fact they seemed to think i have the attention span of a 2yr and the ability to view stuff at Mk10 speed..

im not overly impressed. if they wanted to show off toons.. then do so.. dont mask that BS with so called customization set at fastforward. sliders look about par with RoM... hight/face/waist/ bust... men have beards.. ect... nothing really new there ofcourse they showed what... 10% of the custom slider screen every 0.4seconds SO .... ill have to wait again for an ACTUAL video showing the customization slides..

pretty sad when Maxis shows off The Sims 3 slides better then Tera does...

Face customasation is all well and good, but I want costume/body customisation like City of Heroes, Champions and the above mentioned Maxis title. Customisable character stats would be great too, but that's not really on the radar for anything but true D&D style games. Character customisation like that gives choice/freedom of expression for Role Players but also is a haven for min/max-ers, making PvP a horrifying and daunting experience for anyone but the most jaded, hardcore players. I cite Anarchy Online as an example. For soloing and simple creativity, AO is great since you can literally put raise any of your several dozen stats/skills at each level. But if you don't put them in the right place for your class/race every time (if you miss by even 1 point) you're "insta-gimp", which is only made worse by the mass appeal of twinking.

I kinda went on a tangent there.

Customisable costumes/bodies! Me wants!
