Hi...

I'm confuse guys.Some say that TERA has no ip block yet some does.When i google it say there are IP ban.I'm pretty sad knowing it but i still wanna know if my country is block from playing it.I'm from Malaysia btw

According to your question (from Tera Customer support  (FAQ) :

 

Will En Masse IP block based on region?

To keep the quality of service high for players within North America we have decided to disable IP addresses from which fraudulent traffic originates. We encourage players in these regions to participate on servers specifically designated for their area.
We block IP addresses used by hackers

En Masse will block IPs based on region. Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Middle East are included on the block list. While we appreciate that there are players in these regions who would enjoy playing on En Masse servers, it's unfortunate that the vast majority of Internet traffic we see from these regions are from cyber-criminals relating to account theft, gold-farming and other hacking behavior.
What about proxies?

Services that promise to improve your ping and decrease lag may sound promising, but they are frequently used by hackers and criminals who want to remain anonymous. Although we do not block them by default, a proxy or server host will be blocked if it becomes a popular tool for criminal behavior.

Hey there buddy, im from singapore. As for now im playing on tera eu, the only downside is that the latency sux big time, 399 ms for most of the time, 360ms if im lucky xD.

TERA-EU has a different region block:

Players from the following countries cannot access the service for TERA in EU:

 

  • Azerbaijan
  • Armenia
  • Kazakhstan
  • Belarus
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Moldova, Republic Of
  • Russian Federation
  • Tajikistan
  • Ukraine
  • Taiwan
 
Of significant note is that SEA countries do not appear on that list, which are the regions I most often see frustrated players from.
 
Also, the EU servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany which for most will be closer than Chicago, USA.

You can play in the European servers.  http://tera-europe.com/en/home.html

 

Everything is in this thread already.  Look at the links above.  NA and Japan block Asia. For Asia choose EU, Korea or Taiwan.

oh and one more question. its f2p launch is on the 5th rite, but i see the download button there. does that mean i can download it in advance n play on the 5th? or is it for players who pay for the game?

There is a free to play head start in the U.S.  You can start playing on U.S. servers now.
