Thinking of trying it out but I am mostly a PVPer. If so are there battlegrounds or other instantly accessible PVP or is PVP a huge chore to get into as in some MMOs?

As of right now it has FFA open world pvp ( starts at around lv 12),  deathmatches (2 teams fight it out,  up to 10 players per side and side bets can be placed on the fight,  this can be done anywhere in the open world),  Guild vs Guild wars ( your guild can war up to 3 guilds at a time,  no guild can refuse the war declaration),  and Duels can be done at any lvl.

Whats not in the game right now is BGs & Server vs Server wars.

Honestly, there's PvP but you need to seek it out and it's not for rewards unless you organize player made deathmatches(which I personally have done).

It's OWPvP on PvP server from level 11 onward, but if you're looking for instanced PvP I honestly recommend you check back in the summer when they plan to release BGs.

Once they announce them if you like what you see, go ahead and buy the game. :)

There is a lot of pvp in this game, but its like all others thing in Tera. You want something you go and work for it, nothing in here i handed to you for free, on a silver plate.
