I have slight interest in Tera mainly because of the boobies on the ladies but other then that Tera to me seems like basically an upgraded Aion. Why not save my $$ and play a game thats F2P and has had years of patches adding content I say. The answer is simple :-)

   Yea like I have said before this game is JUST FUN!   But dang I have no idea why?   I mean the combat is good the world is alive but there is something else and it is killing me that i cannot think of the reason.  These guys despite having an underwelming quest system have just built a fun and ADDICTING game. Wait what? lol Last time I checked that IS aiming. You know you move your mouse around, the screen goes with it, and the crosshair follows, ie "aiming."

 

You should try the game first before bashing it in every thread. You might be surprised, I know I was :)

I don't know. It's a personal preference. Personally I prefer Tera over Aion.

no all it actually does different is middle screen crosshair wich follows our turning so it has nothing to do with aiming.

 

everything else is just standard with sweetypie graphics and half naked chicks maybe thats the major reason guys plays it.

It's also quite staggering that you post that it needs a better endgame when NO ONE has even experienced the endgame...

See my sig. Edit: I guess I need to clarify for the innocent. Many moons ago I had prejudged TERA. I though Ewww Elins, Korean grindfes, fanservice, on and on. Till the last week of open beta when I shut my trap and actually tried the game. And like many people I was surprised because it's nothing like I had thought it would be. The gorgeous world and attention to detail sucks you in. Then melee combat, as a warrior and slayer so far, felt like I was the hero in one of these action Gun-Fu movies with a sword. I was paying attention, the character felt like a seamless extension of my fingers so on and so forth. So some people might come to the game with preconceptions (boobies) but stick with it and play day after day to get their fix of action combat.

Haha ya. Changing my sig as well. I'll give it the the devs of Tera, they know how to attract men lol

One thing that got instantly better when ES/Launch happened was the community. I think everyone expected this but on impulse I tabbed over from my custom tab to see for myself... It was still shocking that people were having actual conversations, mature conversations.

I hope TERA stays P2P as long as possible I'd only for the better community.

On a serious note. I'm going to play gw2 but if that gets dull for me I think I will make the switch to Tera as everyone who has put in signifigant time has great things to say about the game. Thanks for the post.

Well, timewise Tera is coming out tomorrow (3rd May), while GW2 doesn't even have a release date yet (which probably means at least three months into development still).

Point taken. Might be a perfect time to give it a shot.

I have heard the game gets better at/after 20, of course a big problem there is that the game sucks so bad before that, most wont get to that point.

 

Even knowing that, I couldn't manage to get there, only got to 16... :P I watched videos on these so called BAMs and in all honesty it seems the same as fighting anything, just a bigger target with more health, and some nifty abilities... I still think that comes back to the combat... It's only awesome cause of the combat.

 

Tera Combat is fun, not gonna deny that, but for some people that isn't enough myself being one of them, the genericness of everything else the game has is a turn off. I'm still on the fence about the game because I'm that bored waiting for GW2 :P but actually purchasing this game and paying for a month or two...idk... maybe I could be convinced :P
