If Arenanet can afford to make a persistent world MMO, similar to what is out there now, without having to charge a monthly fee, what does that say about the greed of the market that charges not only a monthly fee, but has embraced cash shops to boot? Let alone the F2P games whose cash items are so necessary and so expensive to enjoy the game (XP & Restoration Potions, Mounts and even powerful items) who end up making more money than a subscription game.
