The scoring system in World vs. World has always seemed imperfect to me. It was a worthwhile first attempt, but after three years it's well past due for a change. It may have taken a poll to get ArenaNet to finally take steps to address it, but at least something's being done, and I think the upcoming changes will do a lot to make WvW more enjoyable.
The Spring Update made Guild Wars 2 a lot more rewarding simply by - well, handing out lots more rewards. Was that enough?
The Guild Wars 2 site has been updated with a new post to announce community-run tournaments that can see first- and second-place team members in each taking home a pot of gems (2000 for 1st, 800 for second). All team members winning one or more rounds will also earn a mini Llama as well.

The latest update notes have been posted on the Guild Wars 2 site to set the stage for tomorrow's update. Players will be happy to hear that the Super Adventure Box is making a return during the Super Adventure Festival. Players will be able to play World 01 and World 02 on three different modes and to try to complete World 02 in record time with new short cuts. In addition, players can find hidden furniture shops in which to spend their Fancy Furniture Coins.
The Guild Wars 2 site has a short, but sweet, post from ArenaNet's Mike O'Brien about some big happenings in the Spring Quarterly Update set to launch in mid-April. Players can look forward to tiering structure changes in Fractals along with new achievements. Scribing will see a reduction in associated costs across the board. The Alpine borderlands will be making a return when alterations are complete. In the meantime, changes will be implemented on the Desert borderlands until it's ready.
