With today's announcement that ArenaNet would be dropping the price of Guild Wars 2, lots of players have expressed interesting in knowing some of the reasons behind that decision. ArenaNet Reveals New Game Pricing

ArenaNet has announced that pricing for Guild Wars 2 will permanently be reduced in order to bring new players into the aggressively updated game at unprecedented levels. From now on, players can purchase Guild Wars 2 for $49.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the digital deluxe edition.

Last Stand At Southsun Detailed

After a tiny teaser image appeared on the Guild Wars 2 site last week, a lot of speculation began about what it would mean to the game. This week, the answers are revealed by ArenaNet in a new teaser page and press information about the second content update for the month of May, scheduled to hit servers at the end of the month.

Last Stand at Southsun Coming May 28th

On the patch release page on the Guild Wars 2 site, a new graphic has cropped up that indicates a new patch will be released on May 28th and will be called "Last Stand at Southsun". No further information is available but we'll keep you posted!

Secret of Southsun Goes Live

Guild Wars 2 players logging into the game will find that the next installment of the living story, Secret of Southsun, has gone live. Not only does the latest patch bring new content into the game, but also a new minigame and brand new features for WvW including traps.

NCSoft Earnings Up Due to GW2, Expansion Coming

NCSoft has released its latest earnings report. The report shows that earnings are up largely in part thanks to the release of ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2. While earnings fell in the final quarter of the year, profits were up for the year overall.
