The doctors say his chances are 50/50...but there's only a 10% chance of that.

To the guy who said there's nothing to do at 80...... even if that were true, and it's not, I have had raid-like experiences complete with dozens of people and detailed mechanics to take down bosses or other obstacles many many times during the leveling experience, which is exactly what they promised and exactly why I love this game.  In WoW, there was nothing to do UNTIL max level, and I feel that's just wasting a large portion of the game to "get to the real game".

What the heck are you talking about. You can do EVERYTHING except raid pre-max level. [mod edit]

I played WoW for 4 years.  [mod edit]

I played WoW for a while.  Never hit max level.  Spent a ton of time PvPing in open world areas, which I found much more fun than the prospect of repeatedly killing the same 'boss' over and over and over at max level.  I also did other things than PvP, but of course those things didn't exist because I didn't hit max level?  lol....................

With regards to Guild Wars 2, I'm still waiting for them to implement the exciting features they talked about in their manifesto video which aren't in the game.

By the way, "max level" itself is a silly concept, especially when expansions add more levels, and gear is the reason to keep playing.  Get better gear to do a dungeon to get better gear...forever.  Yeah, real fun?

As an aside, I've never hit max level in EVE, nor run out of things to do and try.  Funny how that works.

Other than End-game raiding, please list the things you can do ONLY at max level Mr. WoW vet of 4 years. (i.e what can you NOT do at all during 1-89)

The reason I like it is simply because the open world in this game is so much better then any other mmo, it's not funny nor close. The other games to me to get anything good it had to be some group instance. Here the huge landscape that you mozy around in, is actually fun enough that to me it doesn't even need the instances.

This is a big plus to the game for me as well. I'm finally getting around to trying for 100% world completion, while not letting the "check list" for each zone push me to rush through each zone. I'm taking my time enjoying the environments and I continue to be blown away at how massive the environments are, while still being very clearly hand crafted, rather than randomly genrated or copy/pasted.

I don't think you need to be an Explorer type to enjoy the game, but people who love world exploration can't expect much more than what GW2 has to offer.

I've said it before, this is a game where there is almost to much to do and see. I'm closing in on 800 hours played between two accounts and I'm still discovering things and places I haven't experienced before.

Maybe you were playing it wrong?

Hey that always works when someone complains about GW2.

Well to be honest I really enjoyed it up to level 20, was having fun upto level 30, "logging on when my mates were" upto level 40 but by level 50 I was losing interest FAST.

I would say by level 40 (and only for the dungeons) you've seen all that GW2 has to offer not that thats a bad thing if you like what it has to offer.  I stopped playing 2 or 3 months ago having dragged my way to level 70 with little desire to return, I logged in for the winterfel thing for all of 10 minutes, throw some snow balls around then logged off.  Maybe an expansion will bring me back?

It's not the game it's you!!!!

End game is what you make of it. In my guild (pain intended - Ring of Fire server) the level 80''s make there own end game, by helping new guilders and old ones doing dungeons in story or explore mode, taking people on jumping puzzles. There is also World vs world, and PvP to do.
There are also live events from time to time, killing dragons is what's going on in the new patch.

I've done raids in wow, and I found them frustrating and genrally boring, due to doing the same bosses over and over, just learning the sequence of attacks from wiki. Frustrating if you had to roll on some gear that someone might pinch to sell or ppl leaving, nerd Rae etc.

Plus helping others at the same level makes it more of a challenge then just 1 killing everything in the lower level areas.
Once I make 80 I'm gonna help people in the guild, finish off all the maps, do the dailys and monthlys, new patch made it a lot easier to track daily and monthly progress.
