OMG... so I did it.. I played Rift, WoW, WAR and LOTRO tonight... and I quit. I just frekaing quit. These games suck so bad that I just absolutely cannot get into any of them. I've only played GW2 for 2 days and I can't go back to the god-awful fetch quests. I just can't do it. Screw all MMOs, give me GW2 or I give up. |

i really wish i could play lotr online ive tried and tried but the game is so dang boring with combat i get to about level 25 and just quit playing , then if i go back i reroll and the cycle starts again. Lotr online was the one game I really tried hard core to enjoy but just cannot with the slow combat system. |

Yeah DCUO is kind of in the spirit of GW2. You can button mash a lot more in it and somehow come out on top unlike in GW2. So it's pretty spammy in that aspect. But they've done things to reduce the whole Holy-Trinity bullshit which I would imagine anyone attracted to GW2 would appreciate a lot. I'm not entirely sure how it works but atleast up to level 30, people you group with will get a buff based on whatever Class/Role you're missing. So if you were all a bunch of Tankers/DPS, you should be getting increased Health and Energy restoration so you can stay in the fight longer without having to Broadcast for a healer.
I personally hate the whole Blocking system for PvP b/c they tried to balance the entire thing out with this mechanic called the Block Breaker (which I spammed CONSTANTLY with archery weapons even after they nerfed it and it lead to a lot more kills than we ever should have gotten). But most other things are really crisp and action packed for Combat in general. It should take atleast a couple weeks to get tired of it.
Also: if you like Quest givers with personality.... DON'T ROLL A HERO, ROLL A VILLAIN instead |

OP - I definitely can relate to your sentiment. I tried playing WoW again and LoTRO ( whose combat system already annoyed me) and I could not bear it. Guild Wars 2 has such a great combat system, quite enjoyable in most respects. To tide me over, I decided to try D3 and I am enjoying it. |

I play DCUO some and Guild Wars 1 to pass free time. That is after reading both Guild Wars 2 novels, I suggest reading those if your into the lore of Guild Wars. Edge of Destiny and Ghosts of Ascalon in that order. playing:GW1,DCUO |

DCUO will be my game with GW2 just cause of its World PvP. It has one of the greatest of current MMOs. |
