28.9.2012 25. for prep Either that or late June if NC runs out of patience. A mid summer release is very very unlikely and anything past sept while possible is already pushing it into the release flood which i think they want to avoid. |

beta at end of May, then 2 weeks later they'll start talking about Asura again, then 2 more weeks until beta allowing Asura access, then 1 week to summarize data recieved from beta, then release data of 1.5 months away announcement, then 2 weeks later they'll start going on about the Sylvari. Sylvari will not be playable until headstart.

Emerging release pattern: Last Friday of the Month
Since they already let you pre-purchase and claim it will be released in 2012, I would guess:
Guild Wars 2 Last Friday of Month August 31, 2012
If the game was ready they would already have a release date set; releasing in August gives them 3-4 months to polish it up. I am guessing they will mention the release date late May to early June.
This also gives them 3-4 months for the first major patch to fix and add additional content for the Holiday Season.
