2012 Edition

 

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. Basically I have a method I go about making gold in MMORPG’s. This really isn’t just native to this game. You do have the aspects of this game in the video. It's simply because it’s relative to the game itself. But what I’m trying as always to teach a mentality in my videos. 

This method and mentality can't be nerfed. Because it's about smart work and time management. But as time goes on things evolve and so did what I tried to do. So I decided to respond to emails with my current method.

To start nothing’s changed from the first 2 videos. I still do everything from those videos but now I’ve added onto it.

1. I still try and flip gold which is hard now because of inflation. You will see in video just how much it inflated since the first video.

2. Bag space bag space bag space. I can’t say how much this saves you time and increases your cash flow.

3. Guest Hopping I say more in depth in the video. But what it means is hopping servers to catch events. This is cool because dragon events drop on average 1g coin. Also the loot is variable to what it’s worth. So if you do 10 dragon events 1g minimum per event in an hour. That’s basically an easy 10g an hour. Also be kind and go after the low pop servers help out. High pop won’t end well for you with overflow problems.

4. Don’t forget old faith Orr events the karma train and the Karma triangle. I show where they are in the vid. But I’m pretty sure you have to know where that is by now.

5. Do the lower zone events and complete maps. Now this is just to break things up may not be as fast or valid. But it’s fun sometimes and something different to do while still profiting on your time.

6. Just added you have guild quest farming. Help out other guilds help out your own for loot. It’s easy and again a different beneficial use of time.

Unless they going to take guesting out all together. They can't nerf it really because if they nerf the loot they just buffed. It will be back to not being used again. So yea lol I don't show you anything usually that is nerfable or exploiting.

you can optimise your gold gathering by doing fracts over and over, but GW2 is not really about gold gathering, its about having fun, you run the risk of disengaging with the game and getting bored to death if you just do things for gold rather than going where the mood takes you.

Yea at a point you don't even need gold anymore EVER. This is just to help anyone get to that point makes things more fun.

Wellif you don't have time for all that this is good. Auction house flipping still sucks no matter how funny you make it

You can make decent gold quick if you have some black lion salvage kits..watch what superior runes are selling then check for exotics with those runes..you usually can find an exotic with the rune for cheaper than the rune itself..break it down sell the rune and sell the ectos for decent profit depending on current market prices

Hmm the market doesn't look too friendly for that right now. Do you make a good profit off it Aero? I like the smaller aspects of the game like this. So when people post stuff like this I'm all over it.

Huh, and there I thought this thread was about ANET releasing a new, updated "Gold Edition" version of GW2 software package, with maybe a free Charr action figure or something.

I made some ...just gotta watch because it changes all the time.. And gotta work the fee out

If you notice and watch the market these days. It takes big swings I don't know why or what really causes it. Almost as crazy as the real life stock market.

I think that might be rmt people making it swing like that. It be really hard I imagine to swing the market by yourself. 

I tried what Aero said it works but very hard to catch the swings :(

They are nerfing the loot a little bit. On march 26 update the dragon chests will go back to how they used to be (blues and greens with the ocasional rare) and an extra chest will spawn with a guaranteed rare, but it'll be once per account for each event, so you'll still have several events to get rares but won't be able to get a guaranteed rare more than once a day for each event.

I'm not sure with them on that. Because you don't get a definite rare now every go around. You get greens yes but I think it's like 60-70% on rares. So do they mean they are going to lower that which is kinda silly.

yea it's hit or miss generally i can at least hit even as long as I get ectos with most the salvages.. but sometimes you will see a nice dip in certain pieces and you can clean up but really isn't reliable by any means

Since the patch so far I've never failed to get a rare on chests, sometimes even 2, at least on the dragons, temples, frozen maw and fire elemental (and I think jungle wurm as well, but can't be sure since I don't even have the waypoint on the 2 80s I have).

I think what they did was to keep the regular loot rotation and added one rare to each looting.

I love you guys I made way more gold lately then I ever have. It's about 30g this week which is excellent for my lazy self.

I'm glad they will heavily gimp the event loot with the next patch. I'm just so sick of guests clogging up my server, turning it into a constant overflow with regular disconnects.

I looked up up the weakest pop like storm said. I never run into overflow if at all. Just stay away from places like Jade Quarry even if your from the server.

I wish I was that point lol.  Since I'm still gearing up a second lvl 80 and more on the way, I appreciate any tips.  Thanks for the thread.
