BG pvp (mists) is a joke, its so fast and furious that id rather play BF3, it has nothing to do with pvp, its mostly adding on people and running back and forth capping more points than advesery. If im so lucky to have a 1vs 1 its always interupted.

WWW is a frigging QUE to be zerged. Any day i log in its QUE...i even transfered a char to a server with lesser load > frigging QUE again.

Sorry but im bored by pve allready.

/bored allready.

I agree, PvP in GW 2 is quite bad and after reaching level 80 I am not sure what to do anymore. I am starting to think that ThemePark MMO's should be played like single player games, "finish" them in a month or so and then move on. Sad really...

GW2 PVP is more like PVE. Reminds me so much of WAR.

Uh.. you wouldn't get many 1v1's in a team oriented structured pvp match. Why would you even think that?

If you're queuing for your servers Borderland, of course you're going to have a long queue; would you expect anything differently with the launch of a game? Try another Borderland queue other than your own, they usually pop instantly, but generally a max of 5-10 minutes.

The PvP isn't designed for strictly solo pvp, it's intended for group play.

On Jade Quarry the queue is ridiculously long for any WvWvW map.

And why don't they let me queue for all at once and go to the one that is available?  If I was rating their game, they'd lose a point just for the WvWvW endless queues.

To be honest wvw queues are unacceptable. They have to start looking into solutions for this. I hope they knew this was coming and have some ideas already.

I thought GW2 is a dieing game and the players are jumping ship left and right.

lol @ this post.

pvp is fine, it's a battleground not a solo-ground. if you want duels they will add private bgs in the future patch, create on with friends.

Those saying the pvp is a joke.

Compared too?

Because I can understand people coming from hardcore ffa full loot pvp games thinking that, or even those coming from something like daoc thinking "well its not as good", but not actually a joke. But if your comparing to bog standard wow clone pvp sorry but you are just missing your gear crutch and macros.

Yeah what gives? i mean they also added this 'imaginary' server to the game which no one could ever find. Can never trust these forums. Someone would claim game is dying then another would claim they added a new server because of ever increasing population.

Haven't tried it myself, but I'm curious, is anyone still trying to say that WvW is the long-awaited spiritual successor to DAOC's RvR?

My DAoC guin server guild thinks it is, the majority of those guys have leveld 1-80 on nothing but WvW and they love it.  I'll take their word for it but I'm having "for the first time in my life" more fun on the PvE side of things.  Orr, crafting, and DE farming for my gear is a frikkin blast.

How is this possible when its several hours que to join www?

not every server has ques that long... i noticed on sanctum of rall eternal battlegrounds always has a long que but I'm usually able to get into one of the others with 10 minutes

Crystal Desert routinely has 3 hour queues for any of the four wubwub zones.

No, I wouldn't say that. I would say that a lot of us a frustrated to be 'locked out' of the content we most want to participate in. I accept that there are going to be queues at peak times. I do NOT accept that the queues are 3 hours long or that when you get in, it is not entirely uncommon to see botters taking up legitimate player spots.

I think they need to provide some alternative. Let us guest on another server to help that server's wvwvw or something.

In ArenaNet's own words, only 30% of the playerbase was queueing for PVP, so that means that GW2 could theoretically lose 70% of it's entire playerbase before PVP queues would see a reduction.

If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win.

Unacceptable solution as I have several friends on the server, so to play with them we would ALL have to transfer. They in turn, have other friends on this server they don't want to leave, etc.

Now, if ANet allows some form of guesting in WvWvW like they do in PVE, well then I would happily queue to help a smaller server if it means I don't sit in a queue for 3 hours.

I see this as ANet's fault and not mine or us the users. They knew what their pre-sale numbers would be, they knew what their servers could handle. This is the reverse of what BW did with SWTOR.  There, they opened up servers willy nilly and ended up with too many sparsely populated servers. ANet is going to the other extreme.
