Originally posted by Grimmx I agree, PvP in GW 2 is quite bad and after reaching level 80 I am not sure what to do anymore. I am starting to think that ThemePark MMO's should be played like single player games, "finish" them in a month or so and then move on. Sad really... |

GW2 PVP is more like PVE. Reminds me so much of WAR.

lol @ this post. pvp is fine, it's a battleground not a solo-ground. if you want duels they will add private bgs in the future patch, create on with friends. |

Those saying the pvp is a joke.
Compared too? Because I can understand people coming from hardcore ffa full loot pvp games thinking that, or even those coming from something like daoc thinking "well its not as good", but not actually a joke. But if your comparing to bog standard wow clone pvp sorry but you are just missing your gear crutch and macros. |

Originally posted by Zylaxx Yeah what gives? i mean they also added this 'imaginary' server to the game which no one could ever find. Can never trust these forums. Someone would claim game is dying then another would claim they added a new server because of ever increasing population. http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/5339964#5339964 /chuckles |

Originally posted by Zylaxx No, I wouldn't say that. I would say that a lot of us a frustrated to be 'locked out' of the content we most want to participate in. I accept that there are going to be queues at peak times. I do NOT accept that the queues are 3 hours long or that when you get in, it is not entirely uncommon to see botters taking up legitimate player spots.
I think they need to provide some alternative. Let us guest on another server to help that server's wvwvw or something. |

Originally posted by Zylaxx In ArenaNet's own words, only 30% of the playerbase was queueing for PVP, so that means that GW2 could theoretically lose 70% of it's entire playerbase before PVP queues would see a reduction. If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

Originally posted by ShakyMo Unacceptable solution as I have several friends on the server, so to play with them we would ALL have to transfer. They in turn, have other friends on this server they don't want to leave, etc.
Now, if ANet allows some form of guesting in WvWvW like they do in PVE, well then I would happily queue to help a smaller server if it means I don't sit in a queue for 3 hours.
I see this as ANet's fault and not mine or us the users. They knew what their pre-sale numbers would be, they knew what their servers could handle. This is the reverse of what BW did with SWTOR. There, they opened up servers willy nilly and ended up with too many sparsely populated servers. ANet is going to the other extreme. |
