"My names Commander Shepard and this is my favorite site on the internet" - Commander Shepard

Whille traveling in the northern section of Harathi Hinterlands I came across a dungeon that lead to a series of traps and a cave that greatly resembled the movie "The Goonies"

Has anyone else experienced this yet? I really enjoyed it and think its a great example of the type of things an MMO world should have. Anet obviously was having fun when designing this one.

Scoobin it up on the daily.

Yeah, this came up in a couple of threads.

Nice one, and thankfully the jumps - while a bit tricky - are managable. At least no gushing wind or anything! :)

* * some gameplay spoilers below * *

They must like Pirates of the Caribbean too. The Orrian bone ships appearing from underwater remind me of Davy Jones' ship, Flying Dutchman (which appears from the water too). :P In one of the personal story quests there were many bone ships popping out of the water (I think when we had to fight for Lion's Arch). They even look similar (imo) with all the bone-y stuff and damaged sails. (Sorry for my bad English ^^).

My character got impaled by ground spikes there and couldn't escape for 2 days.  It wouldn't allow me to waypoint away.  A GM had to reset me and move me to LA, which, given the current load of tickets, took over 2 days.  Be careful!

Got cought in the groundspikes too... no problem luckily with releasing..

Until i stepped   on something and it made a sound, i didn´t realise there was anything to be found in the empty cave.

I neither give in to the hype or hate.

Rather just being objective with a dash of fun and wit.

I found this place just trying to seeming clear my map. Some one opened the door with the boulders for me and I waltzed right in.

Got to the part where the floor would fall out beneath you as you walked on it and the guy ahead of me fell. I ran like hell across that, dodged the traps and claimed my prize at the pirate ship.

Love finding these secret treasure things. Found like 2 in the fields, 3 in lion's arch and a bunch at WvW.

Players come for the game, but they stay for the people- Most Devs have forgotten this.

The jumping puzzles in this game are awesome IMO. It's amazing how many don't even know about them.... most think that when you talk about them you are on about just Vistas.

After having watched the movie at least 8 times and read the book once, I'd have to say yeah, this defintely feels like a subtle homage to movies like Goonies, Swiss Family Robinson, the Pirate of the Carribean movies, and so forth.. :)

Sort of makes me remember some very good movies that I watched as a kid, honestly. :)

I've noticed this to be quite common.

Many people saying they have "explored everything" and they are just speaking of the little dots on the map and do not realize that those are just a guide to get you started and there is more to the areas than just those things.

I'm sure they will notice.. and if they don't.. well, too bad.
