3. i know what you mean here, but i would like to see variations inside the wepon types. such as if the weapon is on fire like the Firey Dragon sword it would have a diffrent skillset that matches its flame attribute.

 

4. the keeps thing was just the science i was throwing at the wall to show events can be put in more to enchance the gamemode more then disrupt it meaninglessly.

 

Edit:  ive been thinking it over.  and  upgrades can go past what you can pay for in WvWvW.  but this is still me throwing science

1. Vials absolutely can be. Any CRAFTED materials (like, if you turned some tin into the backplate for a shield) cannot. But the tin itself can be. Basically, once you work a material on the crafting table, it cannot be sent. The only other exception are certian rare pieces like Destroyer slivers.

2. I will agree 100% about Steal. I'd really love for it to replace your normal attack bar, like a bundle. I think it would work better.  warrior adrenaline isn't the most exciting mechanic in the world, since it's basically a mesh of combo points and rage bars. But it works at least.

3. I can see your point, but balancing all that crap...oh my god.

4. I like some of your idea for WvW...I really think you should submit it to Anet when the forums come back up. I know they're looking to add more small group/solo objectives....maybe those could be some? Stopping runners in the field is something WvW groups aren't doing well enough right now, and it contributes to the length of some seiges. That and idiots trying to zerg auto attack the walls without thinking.

currently we have 19 wepons which from a balance standpoint (since they are all fixed) is not that many. and should be really easy to manage.  even if each class has their own setups of skills.  currently there is a total combination of 91 wepons.  a rather easy to deal with ammount of combo's  compaired to what MMO's usually have.

Just going to clear something up for people here because I think people in this thread are being a little vague about storage and banks and if your talking to someone who has not played it will not be immediatly obvious.

When someone in this thread says you can right click a crafting material and select 'send to collection', This send that item to your bank BUT not your actual 30(or whatever it is) slot bank, into a seperate section of your bank that is just for crafting materials, in this section you have a 'slot' for every base material and this slot can hold 250 of said material.

I know this is repeating a lot but a lot of people say you can send materials to your bank from anywhere, but this doesn't make it obvious that this doesn't use your conventional bank slots but a seperate crafting materials section.

If you continue to make sweeping statements like you know what everyone everywhere thinks about a certain topic then I am going to shout at you.

Its way more than you think though. Because a Warrior using a great sword is not the same as a mesmer using a greatsword, so you gotta really count this as 2 seperate weapons when it comes to balancing and expanded later down the line. and thats a caster and soldier using the same weapon for different things and its gotta be balanced.

91 seperate TYPES of weapon is a HUGE amount, your not thinking about the corsso over balancing, what stats can a thief bow have that wouldnt work on a  ranger or would make a ranger OP? Both classes use this weapon in vastly different ways so balancing all the different iterations of the bow across 80 levels is a huge task.

When you have classes corssing over like this it makes for a much more complicated balancing act. 

Seems to me you think balancing is easy and that my friend is naive.

1. I kind of understand what you mean, but I did not know about deposit all collectibles during beta. I think I can handle bagspace once the game is released.

2. There are 2 classes that I do not like and I think which are boring. For my friends it is different, they do not like classes I like. I think we all have classes we like to skip. But as I am going to make a crafting class there is only need 1 class that I do not like;-)

They did for me. It was the first time I recognized it. And it made me happy.

You are way off, I fear.

 

First, let's assume ONLY 4 classes can use teh new weapon, whatever it may be, You want new skills for that weapon so..let's just assume it's a mainhand 1h weapon. that's 3 new skills per class for most classes.. How do they synergize with oddhands? What about Thief, whose #3 abilities on mainhand changes based on offhand? What about Eles, who get 4 weapon skills to every 1 another player would?

 

What about traits? many traits are designed specially for certain weapons. Do we create new trait lines? Do we lump your new weapons in with the old ones? What is one of these new weapons is overpowered? Can we adjust that without gimping the entire profession?

 

Just adding 1 skill to each profession in this game alone could requires months of testing to make sure baalnce isn't thrown all to hell. And it probably will be anyway.
