I don't know. That's why I'm asking.
DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

feels more ready than most any other MMO i beta tested and Iv'e beta tested pretty much them all.. almost heh
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

yep. only ran into a few bugs in all of the bwes (all of which got smoothed out before the individual bwe finished).

It's more release ready than practically all of the eagerly awaited MMO titles including WoW. They just need to fine tune profession balance, but that will happen eventually. They were always on top of it in GW1, for example.
no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

The only way in which I judge a game with regards to whether it is "ready" or not is whether I am willing to buy it and/or pay monthly for it. Since Guild Wars 2 has no monthly fee, we only need to think about buying it. Based on the last beta weekend do I think it is worth 50 dollars? Yes, very much. I will buy it for 50 dollars (I already did). If I'm willing to do that, then obviously the game is "ready". |

Needs more testing. Mainly queue issues and loads of balance issues right now. I think it could be release ready, but I worry it won't be due to lack of public testing.

Anet dev already said that they are just focusing on class balancing and small bug fixes after BWE3 ended. Pretty much everything else is ready.

Really the only URGENT things wrong are balance and optimization. I'd say 30 days is enough. |

balance is ongoing though

I feel only PvE balancing and optimization are the only real things left at this point. PVP balancing usually takes a while to get to the right touch.

I know i am ready for GW2. Is GW2 ready for me though....probably not. Or, rather, is my rig prepared to run under whatever stress GW2 puts out for days and days....oh the days and nights to come...*drifts back off into daydreaming*
The Deep Web is sca-ry. |

I hope so. As long as it's doesn't have any more bugs than the average release I'll be satisfied.

actually it really feels ready. They may just have to adjust meta level pvp, but that will be something ongoing so bring it on anet :)

I don't know what % of people who are going to play on release day have not tried the game, but if it's something like 50%, which is what I would expect, then a very high number of people are going to be shocked at how unplayable the game is on their computer.
I think these forums are not indicative of the typical PC gamer's level of dedication to system requirements. There's a cultural thing among PC gamers where everyone things that anyone who spends less on hardware than they do isn't spending enough to complain. It's unfortunate. People say my gtx260 is old, but graphics haven't really improved that much in the last few years, and crysis runs on a 8800gts way better than GW2 runs on my computer, and with 10x the lighting and detail.
Oh well. TLDR, no it's not ready. I don't regret buying, though it may be a long time before my PC matches up to what would make it an enjoyable experience. |

It felt ready in the stress test this evening. In fact it felt ready in the last beta weekend come to that. Quite a contrast to TSW, which i've been playing for the last month. It's still got loads of known bugs and they don't seem to be able to fix them.
