The game is funded by Box sells and cash shop. So these will drive the content updates. Well how often should GW2 gamers get these content updates? New dungeons, new instanced PvP maps, new WvW maps, new game modes, new races, new classes, ,ect

once a year?

once every 3 months?

twice a year?

????

Never. They may SELL additional content in the future, but you should not expect any for free... as it is B2P.

Incorrect. They've stated time and time again to expect plenty of free content updates, including the addition and change-up of active DEs under the radar. Try not to go around spreading misinformation please :)

We will get what we get when Anet is ready for the new contents. For the time being just play GW2 and enjoy what there is already. Do not expect too much or anything at all. You are just setting yourself up to be disappointed.

We don't know what their paid expansion plans will look like yet. However, we do know that they will be constantly adding new Dynamic Events in all game zones on an ongoing basis, with out much fanfare. There is a live content team that focuses on just that and it seems there plans are agressive. In an interview where they discussed this, they said that a zone that launches with 100 Dynamic Events may have 300 DEs associated with it by the end of the first year, with DEs being rotated in and out and frequency being adjusted, in order to keep the zones feeling fresh and alive.

We also know for sure that they will be selling adventure packs, as they where also part of GW1.  I can imagine having a free Zone with DE´s and then selling an adventure pack with personal stories and quests to make some money of it, so while everyone can enjoy the the zone, they also make some money from the adventure pack.

For me its as sure as god knows what, that there will be purchasable adventure packs in the store.

Actually we don't know for sure they will be doing any of those things. They have said they will consider what the players want, but they are undecided. Also DLC in the vain of gw1 wouldn't necessarily work well for a game like gw2.

Actually they said that the shop would contain everything that was availalbe in GW1.... and after that they would look at the wishes of the players and see if those things can be added.

I am pretty much sure adventure packs containing extra personal story twists, will work for a majorrity of the players and sell just great, good enough to make decent money of it for Arenanet.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package)
Worst MMO experience : FF XIV
Currently playing : GW2

They only sold ONE "adventure pack" for GW1, the Bonus Mission pack, I don't see it being successful in GW2.

They've already mentioned they will support the game both with free and paid expansions, I can't imagine having to pay for some "extra personal story twists" that would require a re-working of all the storyline quests after them as choices during a Personal Story quest can affect the next quests.

Block the trolls, don't answer them, so we can remove the garbage from these forums
